I was wondering if his mead was even that alcoholic? Is he just making mead to feel like he is creating something or because he thinks he will just get drunk faster? I feel like putting a bunch of skittles and cheap ass vodka would just do the trick instead of buying a bunch C4 and other bullshit. I know our boy has a refined pallet and he is a master crafter, but I guess that wouldn't be as fun as watching him concoct these meads. Plus being notoriously bad with money. I can still see his face trying to stomach that eggnog mead.

Pretty much. I remember a home brewer commented on his meeduh process. Preservatives and super high acidity kills most of it, however the strain of "turbo yeetht" that he's been using is still potent enough to churn out about 3-5% ABV by his estimation.

However as this has been pointed out, it's moot because he adds a ton of hard liquor to the rot water.

using a turbo yeast you can easily get a simple just honey+yeast nutrient blend to around 20%, the natural 'cap' for pure fermentation is somewhere around 25% at which point basically not even the hardiest yeasts can survive anymore. It's kind of funny because it's actually easier than doing sick drink combos for the toobz. Also one of the cheapest ways to be constantly hammered depending on how expensive your honey source is. But typically cost competitive with shit like natty ice on a volume basis while having up to 4x the alcohol content.

Prison wine can be anywhere from 2% to 14% ABV depending on quality of ingredients and skill of the vintner. If Cobra's using brewers' yeast and doesn't have so much sugar it effectively acts as a preservative, he should be getting some decent alcohol. Depending on the strain they can go pretty high but I don't think he's using champagne yeast.

What effect the dumb ass energy drinks and their preservatives have on it, I don't know.
