Yeah the details are incredibly sparse which is why those little bits in “my mom lora” really stood out to me.
- Josh says she walked out on him when he was 3
- later says at Christmas when visiting family when was 3 or 4 she called the cops on Clint accusing him of shit he didn’t do. The cops in the station recognize them as if this is a frequent occurrence. Whatever happened there was bad enough that it cut their vacation short entirely. (Could this ruined Christmas and traumatic memory be linked to why he hates the holidays?)
- says when he was 5 or 6 she threw him into the wall and smacked him in the face for choking
- says that she had custody and he wold cry and beg whenever Clint had to drop him off with her
- alludes to her at one point much later being institutionalized “rotting in an asylum” and that he hopes a guard would assault her. That could just be him getting creative and inventing a fantasy scenario of her being punished like him telling her to get raped in hell by satan until her eyes bleed. One notable difference is when he’s fantasizing about her being violently punished he says “I wish” or “I hope” but the part of her being in an asylum sounded like fact and the part he “wished” for was with the guard

Josh is the ultimate unreliable narrator so we'll never know if most of this is true without third party evidence.

i imagine the truth behind whatever happened is somewhere in the middle. though it would be somewhat funny if his mom turned out to be another bog witch like NAL.

there has to be some reason why she did not end up with full custody. my guess is either she knew josh had issues and did not want to deal with them or she hated clint so much that she wanted nothing from him including cobes.

This kind of leads credence to the trailer theory because there's no way in hell an apartment would let him keep a bell in there.

Absolutely not. The landlord was more lenient with Josh's antics than Clint ever was and NAL was the straw that broke the camel's back. Imagine Clint having to put his foot down and kick her BPD ass out. That would be peak content if we could catch it live.
 
The full lyrics to “My Mom Lora” were also on the sub, if someone wants to hunt them down and fill in any gaps. I made an attempt at it once, but as @Slim Boglim said, it’s a rough endeavor.

I don’t think the video lady is Jord’s mom. She never went by Laurel. Always Laura. Her yearbook photos are easy to find, as is her maiden name. I could just be a regard, though.

What I know about Mama Cobes is that she was suffering from some mental illness of sorts — something extreme, like bipolar or schizophrenia. She also went down a hard evangelical religious k-hole, which could be tied to mental illness as well. Whatever the issues were, she seemed to straighten out. Remember, Josh has a half sister through Laura. She seems normal, by all accounts I remember getting third hand (maybe through @museum privilege idk).

No one who is mentally ill to that level and not getting treatment can be a good parent. I am not one to judge here. Understanding of mental illness was shit back in the 90s compared to now. Clearly, there was some level of understanding that Laura was not stable enough to give Josh a good home, but Clint and Stepmom Tanis could. I can absolutely see why the courts would give Clint custody; he had a wife and a home and jobs. Laura was probably chronically unemployed.

Anyway, I say all this to remind ourselves that Josh (and Papa Clint, to an extent) are the cows. Laura has not inserted herself into the Cobraverse and has no cow status. Leave the lady alone, ffs. I think her life is/was hard enough.

I hesitate trying to start him his own thread because he's quick to delete livestreams, so much of what he does goes undocumented unless someone just happens to catch him live. He was thrown out of his house for "smacking his wife with an arms cast" and raping her in her sleep. He was arrested back in October for a half-hour sovereign citizen meltdown in which he called police "faggots" and threatened to beat them up off the clock.

Like Cobes, if you're gonna watch him, be prepared to sit and watch him doing nothing for hours on end until a huge, unhinged spergout hits. At that point, he will literally scream and cry. He is also, apparently, being trolled more and more by Minecraft and Roblox kids. This afternoon, he was driven into a rage by someone I googled to see was apparently a Splatoon personality of some note.

Yeah I agree. I’m interested in what happened as far as getting an idea of what josh’s early childhood was like and how that unfolded and how that made him who he is today. I’m not interested in his mothers current whereabouts or whatever she’s been up to since leaving his life in the slightest

At least the name Laura D Saunders is now clear to me, from the court filing.
I am still trying to rule out YT-lady to be his mom, because of her facial features being reminiscent of Joshes, it's not easy to let go of that.

In the clinterview we get a tiny bit of third party evidence for the first point. Clint does mention that she would just disappear for a while. So the walk out part might be real. Granted Clint would benefit from fibbing too, but it doesn't seem that unlikely to me.

It includes Mrs Greenhalgh-Lindvall from the YT-channel. Why?

YT-lady Laurel Debbie Ann Greenhalgh-Lindvall is the same as the Laurel Debbie Ann Goodro, who married Clinton Saunders in Dec 1990, source https://www.newspapers.com/article/casper-star-tribune/29886685/ - to become the Laura D Saunders, with whom Clint had the court case about custody for Josh in 1999, as seen above. Right?

This means, YT-Lady would be Joshes mum. The middle names stayed the same, after all.
As Blue Miaplacidus already found, her name has changed quite often.
Her claiming, that a "Linda" would be Joshes mum (or whatever that was, don't remember), is just a lie to throw people off the scent.

ETA another detail, the brother of Lora/ the uncle mentioned in the song My Mom Lora I understand as "Ross". Could be.
Which would fit, because Ross Goodro, 43 y/o, is related to her (aka Laurel Greenhalgh), also from Wheatland.
