Out of all the lolcows to replace Chris as "most discussed", I was really hoping it wouldn't be Cobra. He's perfect in his ecosystem, but now faggot youtubers and tik tok people are driving so much traffic to Cobes. And like it or not, he's probably the #1 lolcow. Where it used to be that even some normies knew Chris, we'll now see the same happen with Cobes. We're gonna see a lot more zoomies and glass tappers with eyes on Cobes, because he's a "safe" lolcow. You can show dank food hack videos to your mother in law, and post about em. The most dangerous cobes gets is when he goes on a "faggot trannies try to touch me" rant. But he really doesn't do that anymore either. Easy and safe way to make content for losers.

To be fair this has been a problem within the Cobra community for well over a year now. He blew up on TikTok a year or two ago and it hasn't been the same since. Combine that with people like Danny Brown and Tom Segura talking about him on their respective podcasts and you've got a recipe for disaster. There was a very clear uptick in people accusing Josh of being a disgusting pedophile that needed to die around this time. I mean even the Reddit didn't use to be this way and seemed to change almost overnight to the sentiment it had before it was banned. Chauncey has talked about this on his stream and I tend to agree with him: a lot of people that are used to viewing objectively bad people like Larson and Cyrax found Josh and brought their hatred over him to him which was reinforced by the minority of people accusing him of being a pedo based off bullshit stories Josh told while drunk or overblowing the stories of Josh being creepy around women.

Unfortunately that's probably because lolcowism has narrowed pretty dramatically.

A lot of other cows have gone inactive/off the deep end, or in rare cases like with PreciousLeaf turned out to actually be incredibly long-game trolls which I'm still not quite over. If you compare the landscape now to even just 5 years ago there's a world of difference.

That's left holdouts like Cobra with a lot more attention heaped on them.
Then you get the zoomers and freaks who see oldschool lolcow culture as being hip and they either want to go wherever it's popular (thus latching on to established names like Cobra), or they're on a desperate hunt for "the next Chris-chan" which creates trainwrecks like with Daniel Larson.

Cobra barely has anything going on most of the time, he's simply one of the few true-blue lolcow figures still around doing his thing.

Lolcow Culture sounds like it could be a fashion label. I dunno, that feels like it has potential, and an act of jumping the shark simultaneously.

As I've stated before it's kind of hard to discuss Josh without talking about the Reddit page. When Josh talks about the trolls he is really just talking about the Reddit page. They are one in the same to him and in reality he isn't that wrong. The mods of that sub are the ones running the main clip channels and most of the people texting him are posters either on the main page or The_Boglim. Look at how happy and smug he was when it got banned. Josh spends a lot of time talking about the Reddit page and browsing it himself. Hell even Clint went there and answered personal questions about Josh. It's a huge part of the history of his battle against the trolls.

As far as Josh being "blameless" goes, your mileage is gonna vary depending on who you ask. The truth lies somewhere in the middle like all things. Josh does a lot of stupid things that wouldn't and don't fly in polite society but you've also got to cut him some slack because he is literally a retard. Add all his substance abuse problems on top of that retardation and it's really on you if you're surprised by any of his behavior. I think he is just no different than most people, neither good nor bad but somewhere in between. Ask the homeless people Josh hangs around with and they will probably tell you he is incredibly kind and helps them in their time of need but ask some of the women in his life and they would probably describe him as an awkward, creepy guy that they don't feel all that comfortable around. All in all though I don't think Josh really poses a danger to anyone, especially these days considering he seems content to rot away in his bug chair till time immemorial. But yeah I agree, some people do excuse some of his objectively shitty behavior especially in regards to his history of "stalking" women.
