Maybe there's a segment of society that gets off on irrational hate, maybe because it's no longer socially acceptable to rail against people on racial, sexual, or religious grounds this is how they get their rocks off. It's strange and concerning behaviour, like how some people go around attacking homeless folk for no other reason that they are homeless.

They honestly remind me of the monkey haters in that one post where they all got taken down by police after people did the doxxing. Josh is harmless and bothers no one.

My thoughts are similar to this. They primarily hate him for two reasons:

1. He gets paid to literally sit and drink alcohol all day. Not only in monetary donations but also a seemingly limitless supply of booze and junk food.

2. Despite this, his bank account regularly ends up in the negative because he always overspends. The "haters" see this as him wasting the money making opportunity he has been given.

Personally, the way I see it is that he provides a lot of people with constant free entertainment and this is the way he gets paid in return. I do not like that it's given him a sense of entitlement to these gifts, but I moreso just think it's funny and people are more than free to waste their money however they choose to.

I'd argue that Cobes is doing quite the service to culture and society by giving us a living breathing example of what happens if you don't take care of yourself, displayed loud and proud in such a way that can be easily accessed by anyone. Someone we can point a finger at and tell our kids that this is what happens if you don't brush your fucking teeth or give a fuck about things like diet, exercise, or prudence.

Probably intentional since he’s turned on by excrement and personified his toilet as a being that he “feeds” when using it. Which is honestly unfortunately an often overlooked bit of cobra lore but maybe people just rather not acknowledge it cause it’s so vile
