Debatably Jord is keenly aware; when he gets drunk enough he'll lose his shit screaming he knows he's ugly and retarded and won't be fucking again. When he cracked out Shon he would really lay into his very real faults and respond with telling the doll to shut up.

He's delusional to a very large extent, but I think he's aware of how most people view him.

Using Shon as a vessel of self awareness is one of the really interesting things about Kobes. Shon is like a horcrux Kobes put the bits of him he doesn't like into and accidently created a separate evil entity he can't control

Imagine a person who has a near decades long (probably life long) inability to use a hand powered can opener. A man that is so mechanically inept that he has to have someone else replace the tire on his bike (front and back). He has no ability to fix a car nor any real experience with a car. No known wood working experience outside of home made wands. Now imagine this same person was given a power tool that spun a hunk of wood next to a stationary bar designed to hold a sharp carving tool, the perfect pinch point. A person who is also famous for having long hair and long clothing, which the spinning machine could grab on.

Maybe I'm giving Clint too much credit because although he seems okay with his son destroying his organs with alcohol, research chemicals, and paint fumes all the while broadcasting his idiocy to the internet for nigh on a decade, I would hope that Clint sees the obvious hazard of setting up and allowing Josh to operate a lathe. Maybe it would help Cobra Craft Wands increase the quality or production of their goods but for I am praying to my Sky God that Homedad would set up the lathe at his home and allow Josh to use it under supervision until he knows how to use it correctly.

I hope Clint makes Josh move the wnd workshop back into his garage. I know Cobes hated to go over there to ship them but he will badly injure himself if not.

I don't think his ego would let him process such concepts. Dark Lord is amazingly stunted, and there are no signs of this getting better.
