you know ive been thinking, kim's lead characters in her game are basically self inserts, right? well in one of her medium blogposts she mentioned that the lead character of the game might be trans.

Why is it that every single bloody time I come across one of these progressives I wonder why they're always so hilariously racist while trying not to be?

It's like... reading Live and Let Die where Ian Fleming makes his damndest to not come across as an awkard racist... and proceeds to come across as an awkward sexist racist instead.

It's certainly made me more determined to adopt the George RR Martin approach of "Well, I write them as people." Which was his response when asked how he managed to write women so well.

I literally just laughed out loud. I think that factoring a character's mental illness into gameplay is a really neat concept, but this is such an inappropriate game to stick it in.

Also, I keep reading "Crowgirl" as "Cowgirl," which is what we should call Kimberly.

In the interview, she says she's been involved in computer-work since the early 1990s, and that she started in her early 20s.

So she's probably in her mid-forties.

Because that's what people want in a game: managing some self-insert's mental illness.

Honestly, that whole aspect feels really insensitive. If I were struggling with PTSD or anorexia I certainly wouldn't want to play a game where it's been trivialized into a mechanic.
 
Because I'm inclined to think everyone in her game have direct analogs in the real world, I'm curious to know if some bank snafu wiped out Tank dude's finances, which led to Kim's e-begging for living expenses and game dev money.

Pity she only writes about information security and doesn't actually do that as a job, because I think those people are in high demand and get paid well. I had thought initially that she actually does white hat hacking.

This woman is even more obvious than Wu in her "I'm totes a millenial guys!" Which is weird because she's actually younger.

Honestly, she'd look more her age if she went to her natural hair color, chose a less vampire-y lipstick, and ditched the granny glasses.
 
Crowgirl is obviously supposed to be Crawley. Crows are just edgier than craws.
 
Holy cow, she's a bigger loser than I thought.

Jesus Christ the guy that married her, he looks like twice her age, and even then, probably only did that out of pity. He looks fucking sad and full of regret, probably dreams of running away from her everyday.
