A fate I knew was coming with KF2's lineup and censoring of even the most inoffensive 'naughty' words.
It's amazingly frustrating to see all the safe edgy media that's perfectly happy to punctuate every other sentence with safe profanity like "shit" or "fuck" but never "cunt" or "faggot." Over the years, it's actually caused me to use less profanity in my day to day vernacular, lest I sound like a faggot.

Has anybody encountered that weird bug/glitch that disables slide, run and crouch and your character walks like if he was lagging?

Yeah, it was happening to me this morning when I was fighting an Impaler and I could tell something was off. The new movement feels kind of scuffed as-is. The slide isn't really fluid, but the game almost expects you to side dodge + slide to barely clear boss attacks, which is ironic considering we didn't have dick in KF2 to deal with bosses shooting missiles, rifles, and chain guns at us, save for some walls and level geometry. It's some of the sweatist shit I have ever seen in Killing Floor. I was having more fun strategically guiding Scrakes and Fleshpounds away from doorways to use for Explosive Locks at the boss. It's not the same as the classic all-in TNT pile days of KF1, but it works.

Also, R.I.P. to Demolitionist. Engineer (formally Support) has the M32 replacement, except it doesn't do (or doesn't FEEL like) anywhere near the damage as the old grenade explosions. Before, you could get the same killing power between the M79 and the M32, except the former was a single shot but significantly lighter. The new G33 doesn't really get much of a boost from any particular perk, and it's honestly better used as an ailment launcher. No more screen-shaking, earth-rattling KABOOM followed by a shower of viscera and limbs, just a weak puff and sometimes some really goofy exaggerated ragdoll deaths. Absolutely fucking criminal. Give me my M4A1/M203 back, Tripwire.

Honorable mention goes to the loving memory of my lever action rifle. I don't want a Temu EBR when the ACTUAL EBR is coming. Fuck your box mag, I want to micromanage my ammo one round at a time.

The appeal of the first 2 (I actually preferred 2 simply because of the variety of bosses, whereas in 1 you got Patriarch only) at least for me, was in part due to John Gibson's gun nerdism, and the realism in which many of them operated. Take that out of the equation and it may as well be TF2 with zeds.

On a brighter note, John Gibson seemed to double down after being fired without going full retard then opened Templar Media to return to game publishing earlier in march this year:
"I am so humbled and honored to have been able to share my story with
@TuckerCarlson
. There is a lot more to the full hour so hopefully people check that out. It is my hope that using my voice to share this experience may inspire others to stand up as well. #CancelSocialTerrorism"

Hope he's doing well, great that the retards are suffering for not just letting it go and firing him, maybe future companies will learn or they'll go bankrupt eventually.

Between KF3 failing and the Rising Storm/Red Orchestra series ending due to the devs at Anti-Matter leaving and making '83 as Blue Dot games now, I think Tripwire is probably on its last legs.

Me too. The netflix seasons of trailer park boys way back when were my first redpill on this, Ellie in the last of us was another. I've just noticed it more and more ever sense, I just dislike people who have to work a "fuck" or "god damnit" into every statement they make. Excessive cussing is cringe, no sarcasm.

Recently purchased Killing Floor 1. Had seen vids of KF2 and KF3 and they seemed alright but never had a toaster that could handle them. Current PC could handle DRG so I gave it a shot. Aiming without a crosshair takes a bit of getting used to but I play firebug so aiming is more of a suggestion anyways. Just gotta get better at running from anything with a chainsaw or the flesh pound wanting to recreate that cheesegrater incident.

Unfortunately the good firebug weapons require aiming, and they're projectile-based. It's one of those things you just get used to after a while. The hard part about KF1 is the wonky cylinder hitboxes.

I can see that. I love the flamethrower but 1-tap ignites with the machine gun are arguably more effective both damage and cost-wise. The shotgun gives me a fighting chance against stuff that I can't kite. The husk gun is good but kinda locks me out of my trash-sweep role so I usually just go flamethrower till I can get the shotgun and just throw money at folks who can do more damage. Better invest in them and fall back a bit to jab em with the health needle every so often.

Holy shit a non-retarded Firebug :stress:

Holy shit a non-retarded Firebug.
seethe.
jokes aside i feel your pain, KF2 ruined pretty much all classes outside berserker and all of the people that come from KF2 to KF1 become a extra grade of retarded.

congratulations, you are now an adult human trying to wonder why other adult looking humans are acting like teenagers, your bath robes and newspaper roll are underway, please note that the established delivery time only consider work days.

Firebug does feel like a noob trap at times. Sure, anything like a siren or gorefast and below are easy to deal with but you basically insta-rage the scrakes and fleshpounds so it becomes a game of dancing around them while trying to hit everything but them.
Demolitionist feels like it's what the firebug graduates into once they learn not to blow themselves up and the reward is weapons that can actually kill a fleshpound without lab conditions.

firebug is a add cleaner, if you don't get that then yeah you are going to be rightly fleshpounded.
if you want to banzai a scrake you go berserker, it's in the fucking name.
leave the small enemy cleanup for the classes made for it, demolitionist can help the berserker too but that will fuck up as demolitionists usually forget to clean up the trash infected that the berserker will aggro.

just found the hyper detailed, maybe even autistic, video of kf2/kf3 shooting.

The guy's not wrong. A lot of modern fps games do kinda feel like lazer tag the way heavy weapons just make ya move slower and other guns having different rates of fire. Making the gun move independently of where the center of the screen is makes a world of difference in how much effort it takes to control recoil.

Another thing I noticed picking up KF1 was that the place where the gun aims is below-center so when ya go for headshots, you're forced to look up some and momentarily put the ground crawlers in your blind spot.

Locking the flashlight to the starter pistol was kinda funny considering how dark some of the maps really get. Not enough ammo to use the muzzle flash for vision a lot of the time.

Huh, been no-lifing firebug trying to level it up some but a server redirected to one of those test maps where ya can selectively spawn zeds and such. Decided to abuse the infinite cash available and check out some of the DLC guns.

Turns out the support class shotguns come with a flashlight on alt-fire.

Playing demo in KF1 is an excuse to be lazy and let your team do 95% of the fighting. While waiting for the next fleshpound to show up, the most I'd do is lob an occasional grenade or two into big hordes. Then when it's Patriarch time, you put on your robe and pipe bomb hat and express mail yourself to Valhalla.

Darkness was supposed to be a big deal in KF2. Tripwire was rather proud of their destructible lights and how they'd shake up players who liked to hunker down. But it became a moot point with so many maps being well lit regardless of circumstances and flashlights being usable with every weapon. But yeah, it can get pretty spooky in KF1. Less so when you figure out where all the good camping spots are, but it's still easy to get jumped in the dark while trying to kite enemies since you can't use a flashlight with any melee weapon.

It's hard to break some of the modern gaming habits sometimes. Keep accidentally trying to swap weapons thinking it'd be faster than reloading when it ain't. If you to reload, you're stuck in that animation even if it's a pump action shotgun. No reloading while aiming either so that one shell isn't doing ya much good because you're about to have to restart the animation again when ya should've just tanked the first hit.
