I think that is also fishing for compliments when he says things like that. But deep introspection is way out of his league.

With his latest rage out, I'm more thinking he probably was a lot more the bully than he cares to admit in school. When you try to be nice to the shy weird kid and he tells you to die, it's not much a shock he was outcast.
 
Given the nature of some of the tweets of his old classmates, I'm betting that he was that fundie kid that every high school seems to have. You know the one. That bible-toting loudmouth whom nobody likes who always goes out of his or her way to lecture their peers about how they're all going to Hell for drinking/having sex/whatever.

Also, note that once I posted proof that it was Kent, he immediately tried to throw Jamil under the bus. Keep it classy, Kent. Keep it classy.
 
by the way, if that really was kent, that makes his line in that video--"YOU JEOPARDIZED ME"--make so much more sense

like at the time i thought it was just kent abusing english but if your call to the cops really did nearly result in an involuntary psych hold (a 52/50 or whatever) then you quite literally put kent's life/freedom into jeopardy, although you were certainly well-intentioned in doing so

So, I PMed Null, and the TJ account's e-mail address contains the word "Kent." Yeah...it's Kent, alright.

Can we get a "Verified" banner for him?

It's gotta be him. He knows about this website. He signed up as OfficialKent_ on TheColi and got their thread taken down, but he was quickly outed afterwards. I take back what I said. Perhaps I was asking for too much to see him shriek and rage again like the old days. For me, at least, that was the most entertaining aspect of Kent. Seeing him yell and shout a lot of stupid nonsense.

Still, I'm interested in seeing how this Seattle escapade goes. If he moves there, the Cali Arc comes to an end and we begin the Seattle Arc. Hope it works out, because if it doesn't, that child-like optimism of his will never trust any place again.
 
@TJ1000 set his profile to private. Can we at least get him un-threadbanned for the time being? A lot of us do believe that he's actually Kent, and even if he isn't, he's doing a good enough job of impersonating him to be a welcome distraction during the downtime between episodes.

EDIT: So, this isn't directly related to Kent, but here's a new guy who I found through one of the Kent re-upload channels (which I think is maintained by a member of TheColi?). His name is Oreo Man, and this is him freestyle rapping for just over six minutes about being a loser.


Here is the dude's channel, or at least one of them since members of the Kentverse tend to have multiple channels. I haven't watched many of them yet because his audio quality is so poor, so I can't speak to whether or not they are also worth watching, but look at how he has multiple videos titled "rejection part X." Just how big is this echo chamber?? Kent, Jamil, Baraka, now this dude... All repeating the same stuff over and over.

Honestly, this video is one of the funniest things I've seen in a while and I wanted to discuss it with some people. The thought process that goes into filming a video like this; it's just so insane. Imagine coming up with this idea - "I'm going to make a freestyle rap about how much of a pathetic loser I am" - and then executing on it. Coming up with some bars. Memorizing them. Maybe rehearsing them. Performing them. Videoing it. THEN UPLOADING IT TO YOUTUBE. Why? For what purpose? He apparently wound up taking the video down... What did it take to make this kid realize that this was a bad idea all along? His hand motions are so funny. Why is the rap so long? He starts repeating himself a lot just two minutes in; why did he decide to drag it out for six minutes after he knew he'd run out of material? Also, is he wearing a bathing suit...?

Some of the lyrics are genuinely funny. I lol every time he says he "deserve to get clapped" and I've watched this like four times already. "I deserve to get Super Saiyan blast, nigga, Gohan." There's more... Please just watch this.

We have a thread on him, as well. Most ironic about him unlike Jamil and Kent he often uses ebonics and swears but is just as against hood people/culture.

@nude tayne Kent feeling at risk because someone stepped in on his self harm attempt makes me guess he's doing it for attention not really trying to end his life. Or his heads so far up his ass he doesn't get he was in danger if he was serious about self harm. Not that I'm trying to play down self harm but it's common for people who do to say they are going to end it and just harm.

Him being angry someone stepped in is odd, being that was last known attempt (and with Kent nearly bragging about them it probably) is. I don't see why he'd be so upset unless he knew he was not going to hurt himself or if you suicided blocked him but in the latter case he'd probably have tried again by now.

Not to say Kent isn't depressed enough to hurt himself, it's kind of hinting he is using this as the grown up I'll hold my breath till I die kinda antic. If so Kent that's really not cool, suicide isn't a joke.
 
So, let's count up all the pieces of evidence that this is Kent:
  1. [REDACTED]
  2. The typing style is the same as Kent's, when he thinks nobody knows who he is.
  3. He tried to get this thread taken down, referring to himself in the first person, again when he thought nobody was going to see it.
  4. When yelling at me, he also typed in first person at first, before changing to third person.
  5. He seems to know stuff that would only be known by either Kent himself, or somebody close to him (I dunno how much he tells people like Jamil).
  6. The account name is "TJ1000." This wouldn't be the first time Kent used a fake account with a name that started with "T." On YouTube he repurposed an old Google Plus account as "Tommy Porter" in order to white knight Jamil and himself, but forgot to delete a (rather embarrassing) old photo on the account and got found out.
  7. The email address contains the word "Kent."
  8. He has a particular animosity towards me. Jamil's also mentioned me by name, so it's possible that Kent legitimately does have an animosity towards me. As this person pointed out, I did attempt to contact the police when Kent uploaded a video that, for all intents and purposes, was a suicide note. TJ suggested that I was the anonymous person Kent mentioned in his videos a while back who "jeopardized" and "ruined" him. If that's the truth, then I guess caring about Kent's wellbeing is trolling him. I find it hard to believe that a w33n just looking for some "lulz" would research that far back, to when the suicide debacle actually happened.
So, yeah, there you have it. My final verdict is that this is either Kent, or a very good :ruse:. At any rate, I feel that this person should be unbanned from the thread, at least for now. As someone else said, even if this isn't Kent (which it probably is), they do a good enough job of acting the part to provide an entertaining enough distraction between episodes.

That's a very strange defense to use, when the most logical conclusion would be to assume that if he isn't Kent then he's none of the above, and just some random ruseman. He also uses the same homophobic attacks in all caps that Tommy Porter did.

If @TJ1000 was a troll, why would his first act be to report the thread as Kent? He couldn't have known that a mod would make his report public; a troll wouldn't use this strategy if he was planning on eventually changing his stance and denying that he's Kent. What if the thread DID wind up getting deleted?

The way he reacts to the idea of someone claiming Kent lives with his parents is also interesting. He repeatedly said stuff like, "WHY DO YOU CARE WHO KENT LIVES WITH?" in exactly the same way Kent says "WHY DO YOU CARE HOW I MAKE MY MONEY? WHAT DOES IT MATTER TO YOU?" in his videos. Same exact uncalled-for defensiveness that proves he doesn't have a job. @TJ1000 goes on to add that "KENT'S PARENTS MAY BE DEAD!" in the same way Kent has, in the past, said stuff like "I MIGHT HAVE BEEN MOLESTED WHEN I WAS YOUNGER!" even though he clearly hasn't been. He likes to go to these extremes because he thinks it might cause people to feel more pity for him than they rightfully should.

The jury is out. All of this is damn good evidence to prove he's Kent. The connection to Tommy Porter is too uncanny to be a coincidence.

Weeks before at the Coli, the posters had a Mexican standoff in trying to determine who was Kent among them. Then he requested the mods remove it permanently.

At least we're certain this time.
