Absolutely, he's trying to drag this out. Look at how many times he straight-up threatened Katie? Hes trying to kick the can down the road as long as he can. He's had an entire month to get stuff sent in and he submitted absolutely nothing. He has to know that hes dead rights. In my opinion, the closest thing that he has to a chance right now is snitching on all his accomplices. The judge isnt going to hear "Your honor, Katie highlighted a chat message that said I was a pedophile." and somehow think everything he did after that point was acceptable.
But if he does that his online "life" is over. No one will ever trust him again, so this comes down to what does he care more about. His online life where he's constantly on a power trip, or his irl life where he's a deadbeat dad who washes dishes in a job he can never move up from? He can try to mitigate damage to one of them, but he cant have both.

This reminds me of the scene in Snowpiercer where the people realized that the guards have no more bullets and the guns onboard are just for show. Mark was their main attack dog, and now that he's gone gone I believe that even more people will start speaking out who were afraid of retaliation.
