I hope to god that no one has mentioned this, but here's an interesting tidbit of information that makes him something of a hypocrite.
So you know how Ken got mad because he thought IDW was ripping off of his characters (namely the skunk guy)? Well as it turns out, he "made" a character called Dave

This character, as we see, was an echidna astronaut who explored various planets. His exploits where chronicled in the book "2001: a Space Odyssey".
No, I'm not kidding, he's literally just an expy of David Bowman from 2001: a Space Odyssey down to the fucking name!
I hope to god that I'm not late on this.

How exactly was IDW ripping off Geoffrey according to him?

The closest characters I can think of are these two guys, neither of which are anything like Geoffrey from what I can see:

Well, considering we're talking about these two, it was definitely the one on the left. Although I'm not sure where he posted his anger about it on. Either way, he thinks the one on the left is ripping off of Geoffrey for simply being a skunk.

As much as I think IDW Sonic if pretty underwhelming from the few issues I've read, At least these two don't look like someone just took preexisting pictures of Sonic, Tails or Knuckles and drew over them, unlike most of Penders' abominations. Well, the bigger one does look a little like Bark from the Fighters game, but at least that's a fairly underused body type as far as Donut Steel OCs go.
 
Oh, Alex. Due to some mutuals I actually recall meeting that guy in a vc some time ago. His band of people are a very strange bunch.

A lot of them talk with this superior attitude when it comes Sonic comics as though they know what will work (if Sega will just accept it!!!1!!1). I remember that group always clashing with other sonic groups over shitty drama and stuff.

I don't recall much more of Alex's antics, the one I think I still have followed on twitter due to mutuals I haven't bothered to unfollow. (They nag you and shit if they follow you and you don't back so you just do it to get them to shut up)

The other thing I remember is him constantly bringing up his home life is bad and sad, not much beyond that.

Their whole love of Penders is based on them supposedly having contacts with him with confirm their side of the court case or whatever, I can't remember much of it tbh, it's been years since had contact (or the want to talk) with those people.

To be fair this was an unironic improvement since before this design, it didn't even have that much effort and was just regular Sonic in a leather jacket and shades. And I won't lie, I liked Scourge

I'm never gonna defend ken penders but I'll still point out that archie comics are the same guys who screwed over Dan DeCarlo for decades and only started acknowledging his contributions after the guy died sooo...

Funny thing is, the moment sonic was tossed in space was when I decided that shit wasn't worth spending money on anymore. That and "MOBIUS WAS EARTH ALL ALONG OMG" and "SPACE ALIENS CAUSED FURRIES"
