It looks likes he tried to draw that Sonic pottery Chris made as the actual Sonic.
 
The weirdest part for me is how he still gave Sonic cartoon-character pipe-cleaner arms and legs... but then put tiny little muscles on them :lol: Rockets it right into the uncanny valley.

Jeezus Penders. Maybe try drawing a cartoon hedgehog like a cartoon hedgehog and not an abomination of nature for once? Seriously, four-fingered hands should not work on a drawing this level of disgusting.

I really think he might be on the spectrum somewhere. He doesn't seem to have any sense of social boundaries.

I'm surpirsed he forgot Sonic normally has five-fingered hands at all.

Probably went off the model Sonic had during SatAM/AoSTH, given that Sonic did have the cartoony four-fingered hands in those shows.

Either that or Penders can't anatomy to save his life.

Could be both! Wouldn't surpise me if the earlier issues of the Archie comic also went the four-fingered route as well.

Sega's probably going to enforce a fuckton of restrictions on IDW, so I'm sure we won't be seeing Sonic gaying it out with Shadow or some shit.

Sega has probably had quite enough of dysfunctional franchisees utterly fucking up their IP with shit OCs drawn by litigious autists. I'd bet they'd be actively policing every issue at least until IDW manages not to fuck up for a year or so.
