From my inbox today. I'm revolted enough that I'm going to start giving blood again because of people like Kelly.

Whatever you do, hope that you've got her right type.

Forgive me if I'm being captain obvious or just totally wrong here, (I have skimmed through but there's A LOT to read..) Is she perhaps into gore?
Or maybe she has an audience of gore enthusiasts like how Eugenia Cooney's major fans are anorexia-fetischists?

It would explain her willingness to post candid pictures on regular (non gore) platforms. And if she got sexual pleasure from carving into her necrosis there's no wonder she kept going all the way through!
Not denying the munchausens', just saying she could do both.

Besides that I noticed from the start how her eyes seems devoid of human emotion. It would explain her need for escalating excitement so that she can feel something.

BUT what's with the ratchet eyebrows?
It is one thing to carve off your legs but doing your eyebrows like that is a legit crime.
I am cancelling those right now.

Where/when was that posted?
It was on her Instagram story the day before I posted
She got bored and decided to test all her markers and throw away any that were dried. She said she couldn’t remember if she did it or not then showed massive blue stains on her sheet and bandage on her right stump, and a different colour further up her leg slightly
I saw it while out and dont know how to archive stories properly anyway

Anyone manage to archive the vid of her bandage/dressing on her right stump COVERED in blue marker? Can’t be great for the wound
I would've liked to have seen that too. Can't be great scooting around a bathroom and toilet either, considering the distance micro droplets can travel. Not washing her hands because she didn't actually use the toilet is gross, she still touched everything in there, and would then be touching everything else after.

The thing with the markers has me curious. I've read that a method of therapy for those that self harm can be to draw on themselves, rather than cut. Apparently it can be pretty effective. I wonder if that had anything to do with it, not that she'd admit it, of course.

Once upon a time, I read a news article about an HIV patient who developed a persistent itch. They'd scratch even when asleep, leading to some serious tissue damage. They claimed another HIV patient with the same thing died cause it was focused on their neck.

I tried to dig for the article, but couldn't find it.

Reminds me of an article about an itchy junkie from the New Yorker. I found it. It's from 2008, so it obviously stuck with me. Warning: it has gross bits.

In digging for that article, I found both the New Yorker and the NYT have published lots of articles on the phenomenon of itching. It looks like a hot area of study.

edit to add: this article is the one @A Detachable Penis was looking for. I just came to the part about the man who scratched at his throat.

I wasn't going to subscribe to read this article as I find that annoying, but glad I decided to, as that was really fascinating!

It's definitely worth a read. Make sure to stick with it to the end and the stuff about phantom limbs.

I wonder if Kelly will experience phantom limb sensations and, if so, whether she will perceive the missing limb in its damaged form. The article would suggest yes.

Yes the phantom limb, mirror box stuff is interesting. I'd come across that 'treatment' before on Grey's Anatomy in my research.

I would put money on Kelly suffering issues with phantom limbs, just because attention.

I think she doesn't miss her legs, but the attention they brought. It was so easy to pick and pick and show the results for asspats. Now we're a few weeks into the amputee saga and she's missing that dopamine.

Her legs haven’t properly worked in months, maybe a year? So she can’t be missing their functionality, like we would. (They never looked like that either.) Physically, she has to be feeling better without two dying, rotting hunks of meat hanging off her.

So if she’s not missing illness, or beauty, or functionality, then what? She’s still getting online attention as an amputee, is she missing doctor attention? Surely she still has regular appointments?

If one of us got in an accident and lost our legs, yeah, we’d miss them terribly. I dare say most of us would go through a depression until we got used to our new situation. Yet she picked her legs off. Or Bechets did, whatever story she wants to go with. Seems like after such a long time watching your legs rot off, you’d be happy they were gone. Maybe you’d have short moments of sadness that you got this disease, but the outcome had been clear for a long time so adjustment should have happened. So it’s worrisome that she’s missing….something.

🤷🏼‍♀️
