The ironic thing is, Kelly has gotten herself to a point where if she would just come clean, accept psychiatric help and the amputation, she would survive AND get all the attention she so craves, for life. She would get support and attention online, as well. There's nothing people love more than a repentant addict. But she won't b/c she's too invested in this story she has concocted, which at this point is probably more for herself than anyone else, since it seems her doctors and family are well aware of what she is doing.

She is fascinating, in a horrifying way, tho. Like how narcissists or psychopaths are, because you want to know what they really think and why, but you never will because they always lie and manipulate.

Are there any munchies out there that came clean and admitted it? That would be a fascinating read.
 
I hope Greg Nicotero knows about her. (For those who don't know, he does horror special affects and did much of the Walking Dead.) It would be hard to make that horror up; she could be inspiration.

That's the only kind of inspiration she could be though. I disagree that she could come clean and have people sympathize with her and give her support. I think it's gotten to the level that most would be horrified, even if she admits to mental illness. They’d feel mad that she wasted surgeon’s time, (donor?) skin, peoples sympathy, fooled those that are fooled, and be mad at all the things she's taken. They’ll wonder why she didn't get help earlier, if she decided to do it at all. Many will feel sorry for her but she’ll never be anybody’s hero. She's not the ”i overcame...” story that people like.

If she lets herself fully recover, fully heal, gets mental help and waits-like a decade-and writes one article about what she did and why, people will listen. But I doubt she'd ever get the ”status” she has now, as the person who has destroyed herself the worst. And she should never have social media as she’d fall back into old habits.

All semantics and unimportant opinions aside, she’ll be dead shortly. Either she’ll have an amputation which she picks open, she then has a life-saving hemicorporectomy and infects her tubes and dies-or she just lets her legs kill her soon. They should call hospice and buy her some tweezers and a chisel, there is nothing else.

Poor family. Those are the ones I have sympathy for, as well as her doctors.
 
It never ceases to amaze me how committed she is to picking away at those legs. I used to skin pick before I got anxiety medication and even at the worst never got even a FRACTION as bad as Kelly. Even then, a bit of pain could get me to stop. I can't imagine all the hoops you have to jump through mentally to get past how absolutely fucking painful it must have been/must be.
 
Has there been any recent updates on the state (or potential lack-there-of) of Kelly’s leg’s?

I genuinely wonder how her body will even be able to handle such a surgery if they really are taking her legs. Can she even go under? She’s pretty high risk for death on the operating table, right? I know my previous question about updates was a bit dumb, haha.

Would you be able to do this surgery under local anesthetic? Or maybe a spinal block? Medifags help?

God, I love seeing Kelly’s pathetic excuses. Wasn’t there a post awhile back in this thread that was thought to be her surgeon acknowledging that this was self-done?

ETA: obviously I know it’s self-mutiliation, it’s just insane to me that Kelly will keep making these pathetic excuses like anyone will actually truly believe them. The delusions are wild.

Of course! People were commenting about knowing people with MS who had drop foot on that post. Wouldn’t be surprised if she scooped that up as a reason as opposed to, you know, a result of picking holes through her fucking legs!

She was trying to claim MS before bechets. Now she has both in her bio. Iirc she was tested and not diagnosed. She'd trot it out every now and then claiming a flair or something, but she doesn't have it.

I think she may have given a bit away in that insta comment though. “No one could or would do this to themselves”. It's like saying “look how horrible this is, you have to believe me”, as if the worse it looks, the more it has to be a disease and not self inflicted. Which then makes me wonder what would happen if her drs said “yeah okay, it's bechets”. How much of this is her trying to convince her doctors?

For anyone who comes here and actually buys the whole "Who would do this to themselves" narrative, I invite you to look at pictures of Kelly's forearms, and would like to remind you that this was a whole, drawn out process rather than her just one day slicing all the meat out of her legs.

It started with bruises that she claimed her ex-pimp, dog fucking/eating cult leader boyfriend gave her, then it became sores when she realized that story was a biiit too far out there. Another important reminder for those who are new; Kelly never has a plan with her symptoms. She simply creates them and lets someone else fill in the blanks. So when pimp-bruises failed she had to decide whether to let them heal and try something else or use them as a springboard to her next tale of misery and woe.

The thing is, I think she's right about one thing, I don't think anyone would purposefully do this to themselves. I think she was just so desperate to top her last big diagnosis (oh yeah, when is your hysterotomy again, Kelly?) and the process was so gradual it really went much further than she expected. I figured when she got her skin grafts and sounded legit scared that it may have been a wake up call but the moment she was alone and without attention (and healing REALLY well considering the damage) she probably figured a bit of picking would get her attention but not ruin her grafts, then when that didn't work, she did a bit more, then a bit more...and like a kid sneaking cookies from the jar at night it wasn't until there was nothing but crumbs left before she realized just how far she'd pushed her luck.

Sadly this probably means we'll never see the continuation of the blood-letting, dog fucking or tooth pulling storylines, buuuut that's kinda par for the course of munchies; once they have a new hook you're supposed to forget about all the old ones.

Yeah, that's Kelly. I don't actually remember if that story was confirmed in any way or it was just speculation during the whole bleeding/bloodletting drama but Kelly has done so much insane shit, it all blends together after a while.
