Imagine how painful it would be to wear leggings or leotards over a wound like that. I don't know if serous fluid would come out of a wound that is that far gone, but if you have small wounds that are freshly picked and then put on that kind of fabric it tends to stick to the clothing. Peeling it off reopens the wound and can be quite painful, so I can only picture that feeling on an entire leg.
Hospital social workers can help with a lot of things. Much of it just sorting out paperwork. They help you coordinate your discharge plan, and ensure you have the right programs and services in place. Make sure you apply for home care, get your family support in place for backup, etc. They find out if your insurance covers mobility equipment, and write letters to charity funds to make up the balance if you don't have insurance. They identify issues with your housing accessibility needs, and refer you to community OT. Basically they do everything humanly possibly to ensure the hospital doesn't get stuck with you.
Hospice is woefully underfunded in Canada. I'd doubt she's going to any sort of hospice facility, but I don't know BC. My province does home hospice, and palliative care at home when possible. Otherwise it's just hospital or nursing home.
She may be getting referred to some sort of palliative care due to the state of her health. But I wouldn't say that social worker involvement indicates that. The social worker could just be helping her get a wheelchair.

Everyone's gonna hate me for this but man, I feel "bad" for Kellz...in a way. That is, it's just absolutely so unfortunate that THIS is what someone's life became. There are homeless crackwhores with happier, more productive lives. It's not sympathy, nor is it the typical compassion I have for hopelessly mentally ill people, it's... I don't know. She's just so wrong, in every possible way. Her outrageous stories are funny until you see pictures [of her].
Now as a medical nerd I find her fascinating--- There really needs to be a case study/book written about her (that she doesn't know about, or is only published after she dies) since I think this is one of the weirdest, most extreme Munchausen cases I've ever heard of. I've seen plenty of fotos of people with serious self-mutilation problems, but never with such an obsession with attention coupled with such intense mutilation. I'm trying to locate an article about psychosis and its effect on pain, as there were several schizophrenic people (and one person who was psychotic but not SZ) who incurred some pretty horrifying injuries without even realizing it because psychosis can distort one's senses (all of them) just that much. I think that explain why she wears tight jeans & leggings, besides the obvious nerve damage.
It's hard to believe someone would go to such lengths just for attention. It's almost like she isn't entirely aware of how extreme the stuff she says/does actually is. Kelly isn't the sharpest knife in the drawer (heh), she seems to fit the bill for psychosis with paranoia and persistent delusion. I don't think she necessarily believes she "really has Bechet's disease", but it's like she doesn't actually know why she says or does any of the shit she does, or why people react the way they do. (then again, she's at least somewhat coherent enough to fake a good amount of medical papers so..) It's a different sort of attention-seeking than someone like Jaqi or that dude obsessed with braces/AFOs.
Just a few passing thoughts. Would love to hear what a real psychologist/psychiatrist/neuro has to say about wtf a person's brain is doing to make them into whatever the fuck Kelly is.
I feel like anytime the other munchies start saying they have "level 10 pain!!!" they should be referred to her gooey black bones & forbidden rice noodle for reference.
More importantly... I am worried about Chompy. I actually check this thread to make sure he's okay, my secondary interest is "have they chopped off her rotting stubs yet?" I don't want her to take him down with her, she's already tried.

I’m not so sure she is dealing with Psychosis. Kelly is aware of what she’s doing, and has for years at this point. She gets high off the pain and attention, she doesn’t care how much it hurts to tear those pants off at the end of the day because it just means more chances of infection. Sorry to be so harsh, but she irks me. She’s a classic case of extreme personality disorder, I don’t doubt she feels absolutely nothing.

I’m tired of the hug box Reddit has become. You could post a picture of (not to be OT) Tina with her dead animals over and over and they’d still pity her. They could easily come here and read this thread that shows how skeevy and gross Kelly is, the fact that she’s lied about extreme trauma (fucking a dog and eating it after, anyone? A cult and abusive imaginary pimp?). I don’t doubt she hasn’t had the best life, but fucking hell- none of her other family members are this insane.

Not to go too far off thread topic but the one time I browsed r/IllnessFakers, I saw a lot of the people there are gender-special kids LARPing as having DID,. Thus, they feel authority to make fun of munchies just as fantastical in their claims as they themselves are.

They just screech about removing her as a subject because “she's mentally ill/obviously not faking”. Aren't all of them mentally ill to some degree? And no, her rotting legs are obviously real, her self diagnosis isn't.
At least I can come here, indulge my morbid fascination and dark humour, and not worry too much about offending anyone (hopefully).
