It is like she was reading a post, writing a line, reading another,writing a line, etc etc. I think she knows what she is doing but I also think she sits at home and contemplates her next soc-media move. She does not work right? Does anyone know how she survives? I may have asked this before, but I didn't commit it to memory..... does Canada have a welfare type program she is on?

Not sure what she is on, but there is welfare in Canada, as well as provincial and federal disability that she could have applied for and likely gotten with the extent of her psychiatric issues.

I'm very fortunate to have the psychiatrist that I do. I'm having bummer thoughts and anxiety. I'm so scared of my leg situation/Behcets. I get so so worked up in my mind, that I don't even know which thought to listen to. I'm so uncomfortable in every way. I several appointments this week, I'm hoping to go into the weekend feeling hope again... I don't feel hope as much any more, like the text to my Dr, displays; it seems the ugly thoughts are "winning" and it's final. I know all of these thoughts are of my own, I'm not hearing voices. I don't really know... Anything really... Well, I know for sure I'm scared. (Dr. J has no problems with me sharing these kinds of things) I say 2019 Kelly, because it shows her that I'm not in dissociated state. ... Soooo that's it, waiting for doctors, talking withsupportive Dr's, limping around...etc...Ok, limping, omg my tendons are being targeted right now (these days) and I can hardly pivot my ankles any direction, the pain with that is indescribable. It seems to me, that mixing Tylenol and Ibuprofen work the same (maybe better) than dilaudid. So I don't have to stress over that. I don't care what I'm "on", if it relieves pain, I'm all in! Thank you all SO much for cheering me on! Love you all! This post is so jumbled, hope you caught some if it!

Certainly there's something a bit abnormal about a psychiatrist - not a counselor, not a social worker, not a therapist, but a psychiatrist, a medical doctor - texting shit like this to one of their patients at 11 o'clock at night. I'm sure she uses a separate phone for patients or whatever, but still.

I also have to wonder if she knows that Kelly goes back and posts this shit for her nearly 14,000 followers.

There’s a few options to explain the texts.

1. It’s a service specifically offering these exchanges. Im not sure about normal patients, but at some universities they have text therapists because they don’t have enough time to get all of the students in. You can text your therapist any time of day and they text you at least once a day if you don’t text them. I know people who use this and they will send their clients memes and things, but that’s for mild anxiety due to situations like graduate school that are known stressors. Not a situation like Kelly’s, which is extreme. It’s also possible she’s mixing the terms for therapist and psychiatrist and is texting a therapist. A lot of people incorrectly use them interchangeably.

2. She’s texting herself and acting like it’s her doctor. Normally this would be unlikely, but seeing as she’s pretended to be doctors, nurses, family, friends, etc in the past, this is definitely an option. Could just be to show us damn dirty trolls SOMEONE cares, even if it’s just her pretending to be someone else.

I'm wary of the texts only because that is some serious boundaries issues if your allowing a client to text you. Therapy is not about co-dependence and that's what allowing texts in that type of way is. The therapists i do know that give out email or text tell patients you can use this to schedule an appt, etc. but it will not be responded to in a conversational manner. There are liabilities in text messaging clients and doing any type of counseling through it.

I've heard of text therapists though like lamp shade mentioned but they are more for warmline type situations and are rare out of certain settings. There are boundaries set up in that and they are used with very very low risk patients. They would definitely not be used with Kelly.

Those texts are def not from a doctor unless that doctor is also a very close family member, which they're not.

I’m very uncomfortable with this. Is it impossible she has her psychiatrist’s personal phone number or all-hours therapy? No, but is it likely? Also no. If she isn’t making these conversations up completely, it looks more like one of those paid services I see advertised on Instagram all the time. I don’t know exactly how they work, but I’m sure they don’t deny services just cos someone is extra crazy. At least, not if the conversations are within a certain context (like no explicit content or someone on the immediate verge of suicide, etc.).

I'm ok with Drs who choose to have a line that patients can text non-emergent questions to for some things. If they set firm boundaries, it could be used in some specialties with some patients (nurse lines are a better fit for many specialties though). Psychiatry doesn't seem like a good fit for texting at least with certain patient populations (you know people like Kelly or anachans looking for mommies). I've known plastic surgeons who are willing to field questions from patients via text--but they consider it part of the justification for the cost of their services. But I cannot under any circumstance think that a good Dr would allow a patient like Kelly 24 hour access to them. She is a patient that needs very reinforced boundaries. I also find it very strange that the psych Dr was willing to give any advice regarding her leg pain other than to contact the team of surgeons treating her legs considering the insane state of them.

IIRC it was said back on lolcow a couple of years ago that she lives in church-provided accomodation and her living expenses are paid by the church as some sort of charity thing, however I don't know where this info came from and of course you can't really be sure of the truth of anything Kelly says.

I think whatever it is, she is desperate to prove to us here that she is totally being taken seriously, and like totally not making anything up at all.

I wouldn't take the reviews too seriously. People who had a good or average experience aren't likely to say anything, and she does deal with mental patients...

Most mental health facilities have a lot of horrible ratings, usually they're left by angry patients who range from drug addicts who got cut off from Benzos to completely psychotic people who can't be helped at all. I've seen some crazy reviews looking at various clinics, you can't really trust someone who isn't in their proper state of mind to evaluate their own care.

The things people with munchausen will do to induce illness are absolutely insane. I recently read a case study of a man who injected shit and air into his scrotum trying to give himself a rare form of gangrene. When the doctors traced his medical history they found out he'd already gotten one of his balls removed at a different hospital for this stunt (he had told them he had cancer or something.) A young woman was caught inserting sharpened copper wires into her veins. One was saving up huge amounts of blood she drew from her IVs to induce anemia, then drinking it so she would vomit blood. They found juice bottles in her room full of blood. One woman injected crushed ants into the inner membrane of her eyelids. Several used glass, razors, or caustic substances to damage the lining of their colon so their asses would bleed and swallowed huge doses of laxatives hoping to get a major GI condition diagnosed.

Kelly's batshit and takes things to a disturbing extreme, but she's really not that creative. Drawing blood from your port and interfering with wound healing is beginner's shit.
