Bravo to all yall who were able to read that chicken scratch. When I saw that last night, I honestly thought it was forged for insta-sake. But good for the doctors 👏 Surely they are watching her instagram. They'd be stupid not to. I imagine when she leaves, they all gather around and look up her soc media.

I think that Kelly 100% thinks she's smarter than all of her followers. I think she believes that she can pretend she has the very worst case ever, and that no doctor ever will help her, and that they force her to go in bc everyone is out to get her.....and everyone on instagram will believe it. And to be fair, if you read some of the comments, many DO believe it. It'll be interesting to see what she posts here forward. Somehow I feel she will get access to her phone. Or "someone" will start posting on her behalf.

Aside from being a munchie, I truly think she is a narcissistic sociopath. I have an ex who made up countless stories. His mostly revolved around this fantasy of holding this super elite career and being super important (though he also pretended a lot of illnesses as well -- he faked cancer, which was funsies...and gave himself scars on his chest so he can tell people he was wounded at war -- he never was deployed). After many months, I figured out his lies and realized that he was a narcissistic sociopath. Come to think of it, he and Kelly would be perfect for each other! <3

She will probably play along with her treatment to get access to her phone, then start shit talking the doctors and about how they're abusing her rights or something.

Also I had a neighbour ages ago who did similar- faked cancer, got her husband and kids thinking she was actually dying. She got hospitalised after it came out she was faking, never heard about what happened after. However, if Kelly is legit in psych now, i doubt she would share a diagnosis of anything if it painted her as a faker, shes too concerned about this image of herself being this frail little girl who is fighting all these rare conditions (i noticed she also claims to have Multiple Sclerosis, which is funny cause that can be actually proved by tests so idk what her proof is) whos being treated like shit by doctors. In reality, shes not little and people probably only follow her for the shock value of seeing her wounds at this point. I find it hard to believe that people actually, genuinely support her after this long.

I don't know... I find it hard to believe anyone actually believes her but I read the comments and they seem super genuine.

If shes involuntary it would be a bit before that could happen she'd be having to climb the ranks of the commitment. Its NOT easy to involuntary commit someone so she's probably going to be silent for a bit.
 
So, the form she posted on Instagram is the Mental Health Act Form 4, which apparently entails a 48-hour mandatory hold. I’m guessing she’ll be silent for the next 2 days, but I’m not very familiar with how Canadian mental health programs work, so I’m not sure what happens after that point. I would certainly hope that the doctors don’t send her home after 2 days given the condition of her legs, but she seems to be going into this with quite the victim complex, so I also wouldn’t be surprised if she checks herself out as soon as possible.

Same. I found her on the explore page because a girl i follow follows her. I started following her during her phase of mysteriously unexplained anemia. I work in a laboratory as a generalist. I spend one week a month in a hematology department and was initially fascinated to learn more about what was known about her condition. As I read through her posts, it quickly became apparent how full of shit she was. There are only so many physiological causes of anemia, and though she up and down on her life forever and ever denies bloodletting, it’s literally the only thing that makes sense from a medical perspective.



Also, in response to anyone confused by why she receives so many asspats, it’s because a majority of her followers are also munchies. They all deal with a medical system who won’t bend to their will and give them the diagnoses they so desperately seek, so they “understand.”

A lot of people who use instagram to update others on their many diseases also seem to be strong supporters of her. I’ve followed a few of them and they seem more put-together than Kelly. It’s a weird juxtaposition between people genuinely just updating and informing versus Kelly’s madhouse crazy show. (Although the latter is infinitely more entertaining.) Obviously, not a lot of people bother to question her, and when anyone does she blocks them. If you want to stay on her profile, you stay quiet and/or blindly supportive. As all of us know.
 
How much you want to bet that Kelly is going to come up with another crazy story about how her psychologist (counselor? psychiatrist) was sooooooo worried about her that Kelly is going to claim her psych got involved with her doctor so she could get treatment. In other words, “it wasn’t a real psych hold you guyzzz, it was the only way to get me much needed treatment after the surgeon refused!” She’s a pathological liar and wants to be seen as dainty and sick, so I’m sure she’ll spin it that way and never admit to what we all know has been going on with her this whole time-Munchausens

Oh shes in Canada I thought she was in US. Interesting to see how long they hold her since its very obvious shes a harm to herself.
 
It's very hard to see Kelly as dainty when her legs look like zombie flesh.

She's obviously not getting the kind of attention she wants in the hospital because they won't treat her so I wonder if being committed to a mental facility will fulfill that need for attention. If she's going to be under constant surveillance to make sure she's not picking and still getting some level of wound care would that be enough attention?

Also WTF is with people faking cancer? Have none of these people ever read the boy who cried wolf?
 
I think the last line of Kelly's section document says "without mandatory ___", ie: She's not going to get help unless they force her.

How I wish I could be a fly on the wall when she was sectioned. We need a leak.
 
In the UK they let you have your phone during an inpatient psych stay whether you're in there voluntarily or otherwise. They just take away your charger and you have to hand the phone in when it needs a charge. Chargers are a strangulation risk.

The only way you wouldn't be able to have your device would be if you said you'd break it to use the glass shards to fuck your shit up, or to harm someone else.

Not sure about Canada though.

Depends on a lot of factors. But it will probably be taken away and held in the nurses station not because of some risk to her personal safety but because it's just a massive theft risk or a problem for the group. Remember there are lots of crazies on these wards. They can't just let some people have phones and others not unless they want a war on their hands or to deal with the inevitable theft of said devices.

I believe it's a 72 hour hold. For Kelly's sake, I hope they hold her much longer. For our sake, though, I want her to get out and go back to making up stories.
