I'm with @Pikimon in that I've always been a Kathy Griffin fan, & she owned her D-list status for a number of years without caring who she pissed off.

But I'm also of the mind that the only offensive joke is one that isn't funny.
 
When I want real news, I go to a cable network that hires a comedian whose fanbase is entirely fag hags and her crowning achievement was a show on the Bravo network.
 
Whoever called "bail for a month or two, then resurface like nothing ever happened" wins the pool.

So she takes pictures of her cutting off the presidents head (fake obviously) and her apology wasn't a real apology. I felt like her apology was a "I'm sorry you're offended" kind of apology instead of a "I get what I did wrong. I went to far. I'm sorry for what I've done" kind of apology.

And then she takes it back. Why? Everyone had completely forgotten about her faux pas and then she brings it back. Lolcows always have to draw attention to themselves when no one else was paying attention. Never changes.

I would've had more respect for her if she just had the balls to say "lol deal w/it fags".
 
I usually feel sorry for comedians whose tasteless joke flops and they end up getting shredded by the media and public as if they're a serious arbiter of moral values instead of a funnyman whose job is to stand on a stage and make funnies. I lose all sympathy the second they apologise though, like others have said if you make a garbage offensive unfunny joke the only real apology you should ever issue is for being a shit funnyman who failed at funnymanning. "Yeah that one was a dud sorry guys lol I'll come up with something better".

What I can't understand though, is that this wasn't just an off-the-cuff spur-of-the-moment bad decision that flopped. This wasn't like Michael Richards spontaneously deciding that yelling nigger a dozen times might get him some cheap "oh no he din't" laughs. If she was just on stage and said "lol wouldn't it be funny if I chopped off Trump's head and posed like ISIS or w/e" that would be dumb as shit but sometimes you don't realise your funny thought is garbage and unfunny until you hear it coming out of your own dumb mouth. In this case, though, she had to have spent hours in a photo-shoot. She had to organise a fake severed head in the likeness of a specific celebrity, presumably from professional prop-makers, pay for it and wait for it to be made. She had to stand in front of cameras holding the severed head while the photographers say "Okay now look a little more solemn and angry". There was a lot of time and effort that went into this 'joke' and once it was made she still had the opportunity to just change her mind and not publish it.

It beggars belief that at no point she stopped and realised that her idea was shit and unfunny.

I think this dumb cunt wants to be "the next Joan Rivers" in that she tries for the same snarky, acid humor that was Joan's trademark, but... there's one problem. She's not funny at all so she will never be the next Joan (rest in peace, you crazy, awesome old bag, you.)

I first got introduced to Kathy through that Trump head thing she posted, didn't leave a lasting impression on me.
What did leave a bad taste in my mouth was when she called The hosts of Sunrise Trump supporters (keeping in mind the hosts are left leaning, hosting a left leaning morning show) and 'full of crap'
Regarding her acting career, the only thing I've ever seen of this is in Eminem's "The real slim shady" where she plays a nurse for a psychiatric ward interestingly enough

I think they're absolutely in the right grilling her over those Trump beheading pics HARD. How is it that whenever the chips are down for SJW's their immediate knee jerk reaction is to resort to violence? They could have done that photoshoot any other way they wanted yet they chose to do it this way. And you are surprised at the Trump administration's reaction? Really?
Grow the fuck up. Learn to call out things you don't like in a mature, normal fashion and maybe just maybe one day people will start taking you seriously.
