She didn't work for about 2 months after the move because she (allegedly) couldn't get a driver's license.

If so, that makes no fucking sense, since there's no law anywhere that says you have to live in the state you work in (Excepting government, police, fire, emt and other services and a few other ones). I know I've moved to a new state for a job and used my old license as proof of ID and I damn near guarantee at least a small handful of people here have as well. It's non-issue.

And even if she was taking the DL test for the first time, that still means she has a state ID at the very least.

Just how little can someone be aware of the real world that they would create an excuse like that which is so far from the truth to be fantasy I'll never know.

And even if it was legal to use her Michigan license to drive in Washington (it totally is), she is too dumb and would get lost without former pro driving instructor Phil teaching her how to drive in Seattle. Plus when she moved she lost her insurance and if she got into an accident it would be financially devastating.

They punch a hole in it making it invalid. Okay, walk over there and get your photo taken. Bam. Okay, here is a temporary license. Your new one will be in the mail within 10 days.

There's always an exception, but the exception is also becoming the rule. Some states will let you choose between a regular driver license and a Real ID driver license; the main difference, you will soon need a Real ID license to be able to do shit like board a plane. Real ID also has more stringent requirements; generally two proofs of residency and either a Birth Certificate or Passport. I can't say for Washington State; but Clark County Nevada has stopped issuing regular licenses and everyone who moves in or wants to renew has to go with the Real ID. Meanwhile, California still lets you choose. The Real ID requirement doesn't come into effect until October 2020; but it's so close, people may as well take the Real ID over regular license.

I made my argument on this somewhere in this thread.

Kat was on Subaru Man's insurance policy to drive his Subaru. That is how we found him. If Kat couldn't drive in Michigan, why would she be an insured driver on his policy?

To try and clear up the drivers license thing, there is receprocity among all states in the usa for drivers license, which means all states honor other states drivers license. If you are licensed in NY for example, you can drive across the country on that license and then drive around California for month while vacationing there and drive back. No issues here at all, insurance is fine, etc.

Now technically when you move, depending on the state you have X number of days to get a license in that new state.

The thing is, first, there is a grace perioid in every state.

Second, if you dont fucking change your drivers license how do they know you have permenantly moved in the fucking first place? She could have drove no problem, if she got pulled over the cop isnt going to even fucking ask. Even if she got in an accident, insurance isnt going to know she perm moved so thats more bullshit.

Basically you can get away with it for months.

Now once you get a job and start working, you are going to want to get the license transfered sooner or later because now there is some proof you have moved. Still, the only time this would matter is if Kat was so hopped up on xanax bars she plowed into a group of kids waiting for the school bus and the insurance is going to investigate to avoid paying out a monster fucking claim by saying the insurance was invalid. How is a fucking cop going to know when he pulls you over you arent just visiting?

This was definetly more lies and bullshit because she didnt actually have a job and needed to find one when she moved.

This could also maybe explain why Subaru man didnt want to say waht she did for a living. Perhaps in Michigan she did something very weird and specific and he didnt want to give that out because he knew it would make it so people could find her because its such a niche job. If she worked at Kohls in michigan why wouldnt he just say she worked in retail??? thats not giving much away and no reason not to tell that. if she was unemployed, why not tell that if you are subaru man? it just makes her look worse and him look better.
