If you've ever seen her stream appearances, from how uncomfortable she looks around him, and from his general low-energy miserable persona, it's very, very hard to believe they ever had regular sex. There's no chemistry at all. It's probably simpler than we think, like he started off promising her a better life and she promising to cook him a hot, wild, Italian-style dinner every night. Then they she got there, they both saw the reality of the situation, and now they're mostly strangers living in the same house where she cooks for Phil, listens to him whine about his finances, and avoids him the rest of time.

Gonna turn things serious for a moment here to ask people in a committed, live-in, big boy/girl adult relationship to consider what that would be like. My partner and I have had strained moments in the past so bad that we ate dinner and spent the evening in complete silence and at the risk of sounding like a weeping vag it was agony. No matter what you do you're just walking on eggshells around the person you care about until you can reconcile. It's like being in your home with a stranger and it's viscerally awkward.

Now imagine that being the norm. Night after night you sit down across from someone for whom you feel nothing, if not nothing positive but contempt or disgust. Every weekend spent with a person who might as well be an alien (poorly) wearing the skin of a human being.

I don't think the location or even the Washington condo matters that much to her. My "Theo Theory" is that Phil knows that the sale of the condo is inevitable and is dragging out the tax saga to raise money for the eventual move, and that he's homesick. The Connecticut trip in April is Kat's introduction to her new home.

• DSP's tax issues are his own issues so she can bounce anytime she feels stable enough

I'm not making any claims about her character aside from what I can get from Subaru Man's own words, but in my eyes this is not a healthy relationship based on love.
