Uh what? Lithium has plenty of side effects and can fuck with your body especially kidney function. affect on the kidneys is more likely the longer you take it.
it also has unpleasant side effects like weight gain, acne, tremors, decreased cognitive functions like memory, lack of sexual function.
sure it’s effective but there are downsides and the way you are presenting it is not accurate.

When compared to most other psych meds, and when properly monitored and dose tailored, its side effects are minimal. Kayne could afford the most fine tuned lithium dose imaginable.
With lithium he would probably would have remained a billionaire, stayed married, still have lucrative business partnerships in the fashion world and probably have put out two or three good albums. Instead his lawyers are putting out newspaper ads to get rid of him, he put out a medicore album wearing gimp clothes, his weird school was shuttered, he lost all his brand deals, got divorced and is hanging with catboi Hitler. I think gaining a few pounds, a few zits and slightly less manic energy is worth the trade off there.
No medication is side effect free, but any side effects of a well managed lithium dose are far superior to the epic disaster of non-treated bipolar mania. Idk how Kayne does when the mania winds down but suicide is a big issue with non-treated BP when the downswing hits.

No one here doubts that Kanye needs more human support than medical support. The issue is that Kanye is at an intersection where he needs to have both. Ever since his mother died in 2007, the man has been in a constant state of flux. He hasn't had a single permanent, let alone moral, person in his life since then. For the few people that Kanye had for a long time, he burned those bridges shortly after marrying into the Kardashian-Jenner clans. Now he's surrounded by yes-men and bad actors (white, black, Armenian, or Jew) because there isn't a single person left who cares to help him.
Theory here: I'm pretty damn sure that this is the direct result of Jay-Z and Beyoncé cutting off Kanye. I don't remember precise details, but I vaguely recall them having major fucking drama in 2017/2018. With Kanye being blacklisted (in essence) nowadays, I doubt that they'll intervene in his life any further.
Kanye and Jay-Z were effectively brothers, yet Kanye's unchecked manias became too much for him to bear. Beyoncé was allegedly like an elder sister to him, yet she too had her limits. Keep in mind that the former two are vapid celebrities by our perception, yet Kanye knew damn well that he owes Jay-Z his entire career. Why else would the final (or penultimate) song of Graduation be a fucking ode to Jay-Z? Similarly, Beyoncé was the woman who helped Kanye grieve the loss of Donda and his breakup with his ex at the time. It was because of Beyoncé that we got Pinocchio Story on 808s; people often forget that Kanye wanted to skip it because he hated how he was pouring his soul out to an audience that cheered over his cries for help.

It also makes you completly dead inside. Not anti-psychotics zombie mode but much worse than any SSRI/SNRI. I don't know if it's only that bad for patients who actually don't suffer from Bipolar and/or BPD but still get put on it off-label, Bipolar brains work notably different compared to sane people brains. And the tremor you mentioned is insane, i've seen alkies going through DT's with steadier hands.

If I recall, there was even a recent sighting of Ye before this where he was honest enough to admit that him taking prescription drugs made him have anger issues and could have had a meltdown like Britney Spears if unchecked.
The funny thing about the video is that he stood up standing, while trying to play his hit song ”Can’t Tell Me Nothing” when it looked like he was about to lose.
