Radiohead straight up lifted "Creep" from "The Air That I Breathe" by the Hollies. The songwriters sued and Radiohead settled and gave them writing credits on the song. Famously, George Harrison also lost a copyright suit by the company that owned "He's So Fine" for lifting the basic melody and bridge in "My Sweet Lord." (I thought the size of the judgment was draconian but that he did actually inadvertently lift it.)
