Kamala Harris is one of the worst people ever to attain national office, and since this seems to be the week that the mainstream press is turning on her, it seems like a great time to start a megathread.

Vice presidents are usually forgettable. Kamala had an unusual spotlight in her first year though as "first woman and black/asian vice president". It seems the gimmick has wore off quickly, and even when she speaks the media has no interest in her anymore. Any drama she tries to stir dies within a day or two.
Yes, she is a very disappointing lolcow.

LOL, I keep forgetting she is VP.

It's easy enough to do, she's been the most passive, unutilized VP of my lifetime. The few times the admin has tried to find something for her to do, she's whiffed it.

VPs in the last twenty years usually have a major role in National Security and intelligence agency management. I don't think the Biden admin is using Kamala in that role, because why would they? It just seems like a cross between a bad idea and a bad joke.

She's occupying the arguably second most important office in the land, but is completely impotent (like her husband!) and almost completely ignored except to be ridiculed. I wouldn't really call that 'living'.
If she's on the ticket in 2024 it's going to be an issue.

It's going to be an issue if he removes the first black-asian woman off the ticket.

"The Democrats took her off because they're scared of a BIPOC woman in power!"
... is what I'll be posting on Reddit

The latest on Kamala.

Kamala Harris Focuses On Addressing ‘Inequality’ Of Airplane Restrooms (Archive)

On Tuesday, Kamala Harris revealed her intentions to utilize her position as vice president to address the “inequality” of restroom spaces on domestic flights.

“The majority of domestic flights do not have accessible restrooms. This is absolutely unacceptable,” Harris tweeted on Tuesday afternoon . “Our administration will soon announce a solution to help end this inequity.”

The majority of domestic flights do not have accessible restrooms.

This is absolutely unacceptable.

Our Administration will soon announce a solution to help end this inequity.

Harris told FOX that her tweet was referring to the rules that the Department of Transportation drafted last year in which they claimed would create more accessibility for people with disabilities by upgrading single-aisle aircraft restrooms.

Hannah Walden, a communications manager for Airlines for America, which represents domestic airlines like American, Delta, Southwest, United, and Jetblue, indicated that U.S. airlines are reportedly willing and able to follow new guidelines from the Department of Transportation to accommodate disabled individuals.

Harris and Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg held a roundtable on Tuesday discussing the rules with disability rights leaders.

According to reports, a spokesman for the International Air Transport Association maintained that airlines are prepared to continue their commitment to safety for all passengers.

“The airline industry is committed to ensuring that safe, reliable and dignified air travel is equally accessible to all passengers, while recognizing that more needs to be done,” the spokesman told FOX.

Harris’ announcement caused many Twitter users to lambaste her for prioritizing inclusivity in airplane bathrooms rather than issues at the southern border and inflation.

Record inflation

Overrun border

Skyrocketing crime

Fentanyl epidemic

Increased energy costs@KamalaHarris's priority? Airplane bathrooms.

Many others pointed out that the expansion of plane restrooms will hike the prices of flight travel.

“So when seating capacity is diminished, do you plan to deploy the government to solve the pricing problem the government created?” an Arizona Libertarian group responded.

Harris’ announcement comes weeks after hitting record lows in polling favorability. According to FiveThirtyEight polls, Harris’ approval rating has dropped to 35%.

Who the fuck is going on planes?

In THIS economy, no less?

Was this such a drastic issues that everything else had to take a back-seat?

Oh. there's a pair. Did they each bring their own fiddle to accompany the sight of Rome burning, or did they have one they had to hand off?

I held a round table with a bunch of tobacco companies. It turns out very few toddlers have access to cigars, and we need to address this inequality.

Interesting how Mayor Pete only gets a passing mention. They're both such poison now thanks to the administration and their own incompetence that they can't be propped up as party leader hopefuls anymore.

I'm honestly amazed how she seems like she's been more politically put aside than Pence or any of the past VPs while she is the one sitting in office. I'm not even sure she'd get attention from writing some book about her time in office.

Even Nixon after his totally legitimate loss in 1960 retained relevancy when it seemed like his political career was destroyed. Kamala? At this point I wouldn't be shocked if she is a footnote in the papers on the day she dies.
