Meet Ellen McGrody. Yes, they're trans. What you probably know them from is the "Samus is Trans" article that was written for the Mary Sue. Ellen cowrote the article with Briana Wu.
They're a freelance writer mostly writing stuff for the Mary Sue, Polygon, and similar sites. They recently signed a deal with Rosen Publishing Group to starting writing LGBT textbooks for schools. They're a big fan of social justice and don't tolerate anyone who goes against their beliefs.
They're also a massive Sonic sperg, organizing a playthrough of Sonic the Hedgehog (2006) to benefit the Trans Law Center after Trump was elected. It somehow raised over $20,000.

What influenced me to do this? DOMINO'S PIZZA COMMERCIALS. SOMEONE HAS TO GET IT THROUGH THEIR THICK SKULLS THAT THEY'RE NOT FUNNY. Especially that one with the black guy. I want to shoot the writer of those commercials, that fucking idiot. Why the hell is he allowed to write? This guy is more boring than an accountant. In fact, that's what he should be doing. Stuck in a cubicle being heckled by his co-workers and his boss for being unfunny and unproductive and to get back to work.
This commercial's normal, average. A C, definately. Not bad, not good. However... one line, just one line, ruined the entire commercial. One kid holding a cat talking to the camera, the camera supposed to be the kid's parents. Kid says "Can we keep him?" Seems innocent, right? Wrong. This little girl is the most ANNOYING LITTLE GIRL ON THE PLANET! Besides maybe Jamie Lynn Spears (f*ck her, f*ck her show, f*ck her sister [I'd like to]) that is. Anyway, she has the most GRATING voice I've EVER heard. She belongs with the voice acting cast of Commercial #1. Shut this bitch up. Commercicals make people hate children. Plain and simple. Children in commercials are ALWAYS annoying. Big example? KIDZ BOP. WORST SINGERS ON THE PLANET, UGLIEST KIDS ON THE PLANET (that girl in the hula hoop on the Kidz Bop 8 commercial has to either stop smiling or get her face cut and or ripped off). STOP SINGING, YOU'RE MAKING ME WANT TO CUT OFF MY EARS OR HAVE MIKE TYSON BITE THEM OFF.

He wrote the National PTA to try to get them to ban bullying and PE in school, "because at this point, PE has caused me to go temporarily insane at one point. ":

I wonder if it ever occurred to people like this who are all about identifying as "trans" yet demanding that people call them "female" that maybe the reason people won't call them female is because they keep screaming TRANS instead of just behaving like a normal human being.
Can someone who is trans weigh in on this: isn't the whole point of being trans to pass and therefore just 'exist' as your preferred gender? And that constantly drawing attention to it is against the point of how you want to live your day to day life?
I am aware that the trans movement is supposed to be about awareness, but I can't imagine how screaming the fact your're trans at people is supposed to be helpful.

pretty much. maybe once you feel safe and pass well and everyone knows you as your preferred gender you could come out and change some minds, and sometimes you can have conversations with people who knew you pre-transition (and are cool with it) about trans issues. there are ways to get trans acceptance and such up without being a screaming banshee about it.
this one seems to be a rarity in that she actually passes decently. usually its the ones that don't pass screaming about "im trunz dnt misgendr me ugh eqwalitee"
I'm all for Trans people being treated the same as everyone else and I don't give a fuck where people pissed but I fail to see how raving about how all your favorite video game characters are trannies is doing anything but make you look like an autistic sped.
