I think a Lolcow Idol sub-board for up and coming cows might work. Trial run dedicated boards, if they don't work they get put out to pasture in Spergatory and the main discussion thread put into the appropriate general lolwcow category. If they can sustain actual multi-faceted discussion, they could be promoted to the main Lolcow Cult category full time.

Also the board icon should be a pair of unwaxed, feminine testicles.

I don't follow JY, and only know about him from the livestreams, but I'm glad this board was created. Mostly because it sounds like the kind of thing that would annoy him to find out. But also because when a thread has too much off-topic it becomes a bit hard to follow if you aren't already in the know.

Hopefully Null will find a way to keep the front page more concise when he ends up making a bunch of new boards for these bigger cases (maybe add them as a subforum like "shots fired" instead?)
 
Myself and several others were working on an updated OP. I guess now it'll just be a sort of crash course on JY. If there is a particular aspect of JY that you feel like you have expertise on, shoot me a message about it.

Just make a thread called "Yaniv Lore" or something like that so it's easy to catch people up on his history.

Thanks for the vote of confidence! I think my interests and KF's are a little divergent on this one though. KF is in it for the laughs but I'm a little too close to him to just laugh at the situation. If ya'll ever need me to confirm something about him in the real world DM me and I'll do my best to help out.
 
What would be the best way to put something the old thread in a more appropriate place? For example, if people wanted their fan art moved from the old thread to the fan art thread, should they PM someone with that privilege, crosspost/repost it to the new one, or just leave it alone and save the new thread for new art created hereafter?

Adding on, it would be more accurate to describe Miranda Yardley as a transsexual gender-critical transactivist (or transsexual writer or something), because that's how Yardley self-describes. Simply agreeing with feminists on many points and defending them doesn't make you one, and Yardley is pretty vocally against "transgenderism".

there should be some reference to Yaniv's tampon/menstrual fetish in board description of Yaniv. maybe a separate thread, but it seems to permeate his life, so i'm not sure?

imho, the period stuff might prompt many women's memories of previous online-encounters with JY, some they may have copied.
the cimorelli girls in particular. i've been told he is still in charge of one of their fan FB pages. :cryblood:

several of the girls who were speaking out, were banned during 1st wave of Yaniv-related bannings on twitter, along with Megan Murphy & Gallus Mag. its possible several might migrate here with more entertaining info on JY.
