Scalia was a tireless defender of the Constitution and an outspoken critic of liberal nonsense. He will be missed.

Old bitter fart passes on, everyone celebrates, everyone moves on with their day.

Except for Farkers.

I'm really surprised Fark even still exists. Are they thread worthy at this point?
And yeah I'm kind of glad he's dead. I mean he's pretty old anyway, I don't see why it's supposed to be a tragedy when old people die that's what they do.

I made a thread on them, because I think they've reached that point. Looking through any politics thread is bound to find a bunch of salt.
Meanwhile, the Farkers have made a second thread after the first one reached critical :alog:

I think, regardless of your position on the political spectrum, we can all take a moment to mourn the passing of a man who used phrases, in his decisions, like "legalistic argle-bargle" in the DOMA case, and called the majority's opinion in the recent Obamacare case "interpretive jiggery-pokery" and "pure applesauce".

(Though, from someone on the left side of center, it's going to be funny to hear the Republican candidates tonight talk about how Obama shouldn't appoint anyone because reasons, like there's already been an election and he's not still president for another year. And it is pretty infuriating to see a bunch of people, before he's even nominated anyone, say that they'll block any "Obama nominee", but that's probably more political posturing than anything.)

I feel the need to point out that someone on NeoGAF was talking about assassinating conservative judges earlier.

This can only mean that NeoGAF will 9/11.

Comedy aside, I have mixed feelings on this. A lot of things he did, I outright hated, without getting into details. But then he also was responsible for the majority opinion establishing video games to have 1st amendment rights, and had some fairly common-sense views on legal interpretation.

Overall, not a guy I was terribly fond of, nor will miss, but I will nonetheless respect.

Liberals do seem to be a lot angrier online, and in general. Facebook will not be fun today.
This cuck on my Facebook regularly reposts from "Everyday Feminism" and various white guilt things.

Saw a comment online that we should expect to hear tomorrow that Clarence Thomas died in his sleep so he could blindly follow whatever Scalia does one final time.

Also, mandatory Onion:

Waiting for any incoming conspiracies.

Can we say, HIGHLY SUSPICIOUS?!!' Someone found 'A BODY.'

Election year; Obama wants to be god of either the UN or on the SCourt.

This country is so left wing putrid; now it's no holds barred. Watch

the obamination put a fellow-muslim on - taking the oath on the koran- and watch the GOP just yawn.

The timing of this is WAY TOO SUSPICIOUS . . . monetary collapse

within 1- 4weeks world-wide; riots in America because NO ONE is

prepared for the catastrophe obamination and his NWO bankers

are setting up . . . gonna get real ugly, real soon.

He was the last Justice to believe in Human Rights. He was clearly murdered so they can begin to dismantle our freedoms. Its time to declare our INDEPENDENCE!

They need to check him for poisoning. Can't trust a lot of things nowadays.

Here's a bonus A-Log:

I am not upset.

In fact, I am glad. Good riddance.

[I know that people tend to respect others more when they die, but I say: If you hated someone when they lived, there is little reason to lie to yourself and morn their death]

...

I don't know if anyone has thoughts on this, but I figured I would start a thread about it. Discuss.

Who the fuck would even hire a hitman to take down an irascible, overweight 79-year old? Just wait a few months and save yourself a few bucks.
