ive been wavering on making the purchase for a few years now. i know exactly what to expect in terms of how the slidemills work et cetera. the final kick in the ass was this morning i saw some pictures of me from a couple years ago and how much better shape i was in. since getting the job i have now it has very long hours, usually minimum 8.5 9ish to 10 a day 5 days a week. when weekends come im too exhausted to go hike or kayak and i also have a ton of stuff to do i couldnt during the week. i decided that this is probably gonna be a nice way to get a lot of walking in without feeling like im doing it. ive heard a million biased paid reviews but some very pointed unbiased ones and kept up with it since the kickstarter. i think at this point the value is worth what i will get. and 1.2k is what i paid with the black friday stuff. got a lifetime warranty and some extras as well. curious if anyone has any experience with the katvr products, i know omni is solid but i dont have 3.4k to drop for that XD.
been using vr since quest 2.

I would love one for contractors exfilzone, but it would probably kill me.

I'm thinking about maybe building one of these. Those sliding treadmills always seemed bad to me, I'd rather have actual running motion and be locked to a single axis than be stuck on ice, but I've never tried either before so I could be wrong.

Biggest thing for me is being able to turn and you can't really do that on the single axis treadmills without the thumbstick. I'm sure that it's going to take some use to getting the actual motion of the ocean right but I'll let you know when I get it how it is. That is a far cheaper solution for sure tho 😂 😂
