Julie, certified mature adult, is going to drive her bank account even further into the red to buy birthday food for herself.
 
I wonder what bank she has that will allow her to keep overdrafting on withdrawals that aren't automatic. My husband had ScotiaBank when he was still in the Great White North; one pay period, his boss deposited the paychecks a day late, but he had two bills that were set to automatically draft from Scotia that day. The first one went through and created an overdraft, which the bank paid. The second draft, however, was declined.

I just find it curious, is all. I know there are banks that continue to overdraft, but only on things like automatic charges that come out every month (i.e. bills), just never heard of one that will let you keep using the card to make purchases or keep spitting money out of the ATM when you're already in the red. Also, most banks have protections you can ask for that will cause a card to be declined when there isn't enough money in the account to cover a charge. I'm actually a little surprised that whoever the adult is in her life (I assume her dad or her stepmom from her "I LEARNED IT FROM YOU" rant) who has access to her account hasn't done that yet. Doubtful it would teach her any responsibility, but at least she wouldn't keep racking up debt that she's going to expect someone else to pay off for her.

I'm not sure about other banks, but BMO will let you do an overdraft like that. You can keep spending until you reached your overdraft limit. I'm not sure if there are fees associated with it or not, though.

I'm hoping this ends with a police report. More likely, she'll just get some shitty sushi, scream at Grandma till poor Grams gives her enough money to take her account out of the negative, and than it's back to the basement for some Pokemon.

PS: Julie, he really doesn't care that much. This won't impress him, and it won't help you reach any goal. If I could make a suggestion? Why not play the switch today and beat the shit out of him? Could be loads of fun!
