ODSP is extremely hard to get on, and takes about 5 years of advocacy by a lawyer, or someone willing to fight Ontario Health.
Their default ruling on applications regarding invisible disabilities (ie. mental health, autism, etc) is to deny them, then the patient can appeal the decision.

Isn't she already on ODSP though? Meaning she had to do all that crazy shit. What's she applying to now is there like another disability type thing that's a national thing rather than provincial?

I don't think she is. I think Mike is. In the OKC chat with her doomed date, she said she gets $200 a month, but it's contingent on her being with Mike. It sounds like Mike is paying her to be his girlfriend.

I'm not sure how it works since she's just recently become an adult. I think ODSP is sent to the legal guardian while the patient is below age of majority, but don't know whether it makes it easier to apply for adult benefits or not. I do know that if she's planning on moving in with someone else on any form of social assistance, they have to update their file.
Because Mike's also on ODSP (I'm assuming he's not just on EI), it can cause a whole shitload of logistical stuff. I think what happens is they would both get a lower amount than if they were living alone.
Co-habitation, like I said, is really tricky when it comes to benefits.
