One of the most damning things a person can do in this life is to add or take away from the Bible. And to take this to the next level, some people write their names in their own translation of the Bible. This person, of whom I am speaking of, is Joseph Smith. Mormons should be upset by his actions and consider leaving the faith. This is due to his decision to write his name in the Biblical text.
You will know what I mean when reviewing the Joseph Smith Translation (JST). These JST Footnotes are at the bottom portions of the KJV Mormon Bibles. This translation is known as the “Inspired Version Bible.”
Speaking of this translation, “Joseph Smith, the first prophet of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, made a “new translation” of the Bible, using the text of the King James Version (KJV). This work differs from the KJV in at least 3,410 verses and consists of additions, deletions, rearrangements, and other alterations that cause it to vary not only from the KJV but from other biblical texts.”
One such addition to the Bible comes in Genesis, chapter 50. In the Christian Bible, Genesis 50 ends with verse 26, of which the manuscripts agree upon. However, this is not the case with the Joseph Smith’s translation. He could not help but manipulate verses starting with 24 and add new verses after 26 that go until 38. These changed verses in verses 24 through 26 and the extra verses Joseph Smith added are found below…
Genesis 50:24-38 (Joseph Smith Translation)
In Genesis 50 (JST), verses 25, 30, and 31, we see Joseph Smith speaking of not only himself but the Book of Mormon also. More specifically, he is referring to the Book of Mormon people, which he had to write in, of course. And then we have Joseph Smith speaking of himself, starting with 26, all the way to verse 33. And verse 33 is the most damning of all.
For in that verse, Joseph wrote his very name, as that prophet and sear in the last days. As he wrote, you can see how only he would be given the power to bring forth this other book into the world, namely the Book of Mormon, as it reads in verses 30 and 31. Then, as 31 says, false doctrines will be confounded, along with contentions. This is since these two books work hand in hand together. Which is so wrong.
Wow, oh wow! This is enough for Joseph Smith to deny God and His Holy Word and to say I know better. And because of what Joseph Smith did, while manipulating the Bible, he is now suffering in hell. Yes, that liar is serving his time there, while being tormented in those flames. He will be there until the day of judgment is set before him, along with every other person who finds themselves in hell.
I know this since the Bible clearly says, “every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.” (Proverbs 30:5,6) And “all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.” (Revelation 21:8 )
Genesis 50:30-33 (Joseph Smith Translation)
30 And again, a seer will I raise up out of the fruit of thy loins, and unto him will I give power to bring forth my word unto the seed of thy loins; and not to the bringing forth of my word only, saith the Lord, but to the convincing them of my word, which shall have already gone forth among them in the last days;
31 Wherefore the fruit of thy loins shall write, and the fruit of the loins of Judah shall write; and that which shall be written by the fruit of thy loins, and also that which shall be written by the fruit of the loins of Judah, shall grow together unto the confounding of false doctrines, and laying down of contentions, and establishing peace among the fruit of thy loins, and bringing them to a knowledge of their fathers in the latter days; and also to the knowledge of my covenants, saith the Lord.
32 And out of weakness shall he be made strong, in that day when my work shall go forth among all my people, which shall restore them, who are of the house of Israel, in the last days.
33 And that seer will I bless, and they that seek to destroy him shall be confounded; for this promise I give unto you; for I will remember you from generation to generation; and his name shall be called Joseph, and it shall be after the name of his father; and he shall be like unto you; for the thing which the Lord shall bring forth by his hand shall bring my people unto salvation.
