it’s pretty fucking awkward how this guy and his daughter have been openly talking about recreational drug use after his “episode” in Russia with deliberate interest and intent.

i still think it’s great how Jordan Peterson has helped so many men (yeah I know, I know), and I really don’t want to use a “slippery slope” fallacy, but when your entire image is built upon being pro stoicism, order and religion, even despite his addiction, you’d think he’d take a step back from the DMT, shrooms and whatever else chit-chat?

the man can make mistakes imo, we all do, but I find this pretty funny and absurd in particular.

He wasn't propped up to help ''young men''. He was propped up by the media because he supported the austerity agenda/ no government help or assistance and right wing media loved the idea and hoped they could be implemented in America. As I said way back in this thread, his ideas are pure Canadian conservatism. You can only get away with this shit in Canada. If they cut off the EBT and all the other stuff in the USA nigg*rs would riot up a storm like something out of a disaster film. Certain policies (Jordan's fiscals philosophy) are just impossible to implement in the USA because of demographic differences. Most people in Canada are white and they behave, when benefits get cut they just take it and get a second job. Immigrants can't act up or the get deported. So you get the idea..

I've yet to meet a dude talking about how Jordan Peterson helped them actually do anything in particular besides a vague, unsatisfying kind of "wellness"
His "clean your room and sort yourself out" shit really did help me. I'm not living at my parent's anymore, got stable employment in a good trade and my future is looking pretty good.

You never needed his advice, it was you that bettered your life. I don't know your age but this guy was a fucking loser through most of his 20's and had a drug problem back then that he carried with him now to nearly 60 years old. I'm sure when he was a young man he didn't have it together himself.

Also many young men who don't come from solidly middle class backgrounds can't afford to even go to post secondary. They have little options but to work a low skilled job or join the military. Which is why a lot of them end up very stuck and unable to move forward.

I can't speak for others, but after listening to his ramblings, that was the first time I actually put any rational thought into myself. That was the first time "maybe I'm the one holding me back" occurred to me. I got off my ass and started changing shit, so yeah. Whether I needed his help or not I dont know, but I can tell you that Jordan did get me off my ass.

I was broke, my parents are broke. There was no chance in hell I was going to get any degree or diploma past high school and I was sure as fuck not going to continue working a low skilled job. There's other options. Start an apprenticeship in a trade that offers it. Get paid while you learn. Sure, it's not going to land you the kind of job a PHD would, but when you complete your trade test, you'll be living a fuck load more comfortably than someone flipping burgers.

I still stand by my words that all these theatrics have a purpose to discredit ideas which Peterson was supposed to represent. You see what happens if someone refuses to use correct pronouns? It all ends badly in coma in Russia with suspicion of schizophrenia. It automatically reminded me of famous advancement of Soviet psychiatry: "sluggish schizophrenia" used to discredit dissidents. (link very worthy reading)

Are we not that far from it? I hope we are still quite far.

One thing is super glaring in this entire story: if you would go through this horrible period would you make it very well known in details? Or would you rather withdraw from spotlight completely until you get things sorted out? I know his daughter wants to be famous, but still it's super ghoulish to do it on the back of your half-dead father.
I appreciate your concern about my mental health. But there is a clear misunderstanding here No, I don't see any 6D intergalactic chess in his benzo addiction. I think it's real, and the Russian history is real. I am just pointing out that it's shamelessly publicized everywhere, and I believe it didn't have to be publicized that much. The recent brouhaha about schizophrenia is just one example of excessive noise that is made about the situation. That's all.

Yes, both him and his daughter are likely munchies that revel in attention for their possibly imaginary ailments for years already. If you look at it from the sidelines there is no reason they should be famous, but yet they are. At first I thought naively that this fame was organic, but no, there is lots of valid suspicion that Petersons were heavily promoted (also on YT). So people who promoted them knew from the start that the promote mentally unstable individuals that are very likely to crumble under pressure.

Does it still sound paranoid to you? If yes, I will maybe sleep more, lol.
Where are you getting this idea that people suspect he has schizophrenia? Can you provide a link? I've never read this about him. Brain damage, benzo addiction, past alcoholism and depression, yes. Schizophrenia? No.
The coma and cancer shattered his ego and not in the nice buddhist sense and he's picking the pieces up rather than dealing with a hotwired brain
Do you mean his wife's cancer?

Peterson made a comeback i guess and had a interview with Bret weinstein a few hours ago.
Can't archive rn but if someone else wants to do it then they could.
I guess it's safer to do a tryout on another channel first. But he sounds almost like his old self here. Good for him.

I think he'll find, like Lauren Southern, that the cultural movement has moved on. We'll see how it goes.

I've saved the vid, but I'm not uploading it unless there will be some reason for it in the future. It is over a gigabyte and I love null's servers too much to abuse them like that. If it's taken down and there's some reason that you want to see the video, hit me up.

It's funny how quickly it jumps through a couple of very light-hearted topics in the beginning. I'll share the timestamps so you can get a quick overview of the topics.

Edit: I thought he sounded normal, but he starts to sound really weird and old at 01:06:45 and for the couple of minutes after.

I mean it's not as bad as Biden, but it's far from his former fluent self.

Can you provide a link?

Sunday times said in their article a few weeks back that he had been diagnosed
Do you mean his wife's cancer?
Yeah.

If you listen to the start of his douglas murray or pageau talk on his own podcast he talks a bit about his daily routine. He's self admittedly only capable of a few hours work in the afternoon each day

He's basically self-help for men. He's of the same breed as The Secret.
Well, I'll go pick up my troon pills now.

Peterson never struck me as anti-feminist in particular, the man's anti-group-identity of any calibre. Which targets new wave bogus feminism, BLM bullshit, all these modern tendrils that leech into commie territory.

I get it. After watching his lectures and reading his books I dug out a few of the books he always references, Gulag Archipelago included and I get why he spoke up.

I think he's a man full of anxiety and depression so it makes it difficult to speak up, BUT the societal warnings are so loud he couldn't well respect himself if he stayed mum; we do appear to be meandering in that horrifyingly undertaught direction of a new, modern western communism.

Even if he can't be everything he's teaching to be good he's trying, poor bastard...

If you ask me I don't think he's ready to be wheeled out to face the world again, like you guys I've been mulling the possibility of brain damage, but then again, in what he views as such dire times, when do you get back on the horse?

I hope we see him full force again soon.

I really do.

There's a clip out there where a woman comments to Peterson "whatever you're selling, people are buying it!"

He responds in whimpering Kermit "I'm not sure I'm selling anything."

I wanted to post it here but all my search queries returned "Jordan Peterson how to sell anything."

edit: I was wrong about the whimpering Kermit, it's a full blown "hands of my grift" lie.

Get fucked Jordan Peterson.

Having watched some of his lectures I wonder what exactly he was hired to teach in that university. It seems to me that if you were a student in that class there is never anything you can take notes on. What were the set exams like? The only concrete things he ever said were platitudes like "Men are generally more aggressive than women" hardly worth the tuition fee i think.
In many ways peterson embodies the problems in acedemia he so often talks shit about (pompous professors who dont teach anything of use and are just trying to hawk their shitty book/ideology)

I gather from your comment that you never studied liberal arts, or at least not in the past 40-50 years in North America

Get fucked Jordan Peterson.
He's stopped hiding his grifting lately.
He's published like 5 videos where he blatantly asks people to buy his book.
