I think the dude actually cares, if you've seen his hilariously cringey crying about individuality in Western society or whatever that was,
WATERLOO, Ontario, January 2, 2019 (LifeSiteNews) ― The two Canadian university professors who bullied a teaching assistant to tears because she showed students a clip of a debate with Jordan Peterson have now mentioned her in a third party lawsuit.
Nathan Rambukkana and Herbert Pimlott, professors at Waterloo’s Wilfrid Laurier University, are being sued by Peterson, the University of Toronto psychology professor and author of the best-selling 12 Rules for Life: An Antidote to Chaos, for having defamed him.
The professors maintain, however, that their remarks about Peterson would never have become public had they not been recorded and given to the media by teaching assistant Lindsay Shepherd.
In November 2017, the two men, accompanied by Adria Joel, then the university’s manager of “gendered and sexual violence prevention,” grilled Shepherd about her decision to play part of a government-funded television program featuring a debate with Peterson to students. The debate involved Peterson’s resistance to the enforced use of pronouns in vogue with transgender activists. During the disciplinary interview, which Shepherd secretly taped, the professors likened an objective presentation of the Peterson debate to objectively presenting a speech by Adolf Hitler.
In response to Shepherd’s explanation that she was presenting students with ideas that they would eventually encounter in public life and that Peterson was a “real person,” one of the professors replied:
“He is a real person, but he is a real person who has engaged in targeted behavior … or targetting of trans(sexual) students ... by doxxing them, giving out their personal information so that they will be attacked, harassed, so that death threats will find them. This is something that he has done to his own students, has done to other students. This (showing a clip of him speaking without condemnation) is basically like neutrally playing a speech by Hitler or Milo Yiannopoulos from Gamergate.”
In June 2018, Peterson filed suit against Wilfrid Laurier University, Rambukkana, Pimlott and Joel.
According to the Toronto Sun, “The statement of claim, prepared by lawyer Howard Levitt … says Peterson was falsely labeled as incompetent, sexist, misogynist and racist in a now infamous disciplinary meeting with Wilfrid Laurier University teaching assistant Lindsay Shepherd.”
But the professors are arguing that if their remarks hurt Peterson, the blame must fall upon their former student.
According to the Toronto Star, the men “allege Lindsay Shepherd … had ‘power and control’ over the recording and the distribution of the conversation, and meant for the contents of the meeting to potentially become widely available and discussed. Therefore, they argue, should the court find Peterson suffered damages or injuries, those would be ‘attributable to Shepherd and her publication and dissemination’ of the recording.”

Of course the teachers sperg about gamergate and Adolf Hitler in the same breath, but apparently the woman magically made them say that because vagina magic.
Albeit Peterson's academic work is substantially distinct from his pop culture presence. The former is just not very interesting to readers of science reporting - we have metrics that indicate what kinds of articles people read and share, and this just ain't it - and his high impact peer-reviewed work is increasingly retrospective. The latter is not in the wheelhouse of science journalists.academic professionals themselves - his equals - think they are too superior to talk to him (much less interview him) because he is sexisttransphobicxyzblahlblah so they send in (sacrifice) some dumb newbie journalist to do it.
peterson promptly eats newbie alive.
over & over & over.
Since bill C-16 not one person is on record as having been affected by it.
She is becoming a lolcow herself. Academia won't touxt her and she's reduced to making awful skeptic videos to appeal to her right wing audience that she pretends to be apart of. Don't even get me started on her delusions to sue the University for 1 million+ Mark my words she is gonna get a thread on her soon if she doesn't yet have one.Except at least lindsay shepherd that we just discussed.

I don't think it relates directly to C-16? She got shit from exceptional superiors because she used Peterson's material? Or am I missing something here?

She got told some shit, but I wouldn't characterize getting called out by your employers "A social justice Inquisition" as Sargon said. Even if your bosses are being dumb.
Most people I know would have either shut up and stop mentioning Peterson in lectures, or stand up for themselves by their common sense and as university teachers. Crying while secretly recording, then exposing it online and being part of a lawsuit strikes me as somewhat shady.
So... the average college professor.Peterson is an interesting character, because he's a person of average intelligence who uses big words and obscure concepts to fool idiots into thinking that he's a genius and that they should give him money. Just goes to show that you don't have to know what you're talking about, you just have to sound like you do.
t I was glad finally someone was smart enough to do it when it came out she did.
Her employers are a PUBLIC UNIVERSITY. They shouldn't get to censor based on opinion. This isn't some random corporation. You can make that case about Damore and Google, maybe, but not this one.
It's the same thing. These people are pathological liars and need to be recorded behind closed doors, because they will lie, lie, and lie some more when there's a dispute about what happens there. These are not good people and they deserve a lot more than just public humiliation.
Note that she was technically a teaching assistant and according to articles her mother advised she record the meeting. I wonder if her mom advised the release...Fair enough. I'm not on anyone's side though and with all the shit that's been going on in the IF threads and stuff, I'm following my gut and not trusting anyone in this sphere.
First of all, she didn't stand in front of a tank in a square, got thrown acid in the face or got clubbed for her opinions. She got said some pretty tame stuff from a fat, most probably literal cuck, pajeet professor. And now she wants millions? (3.6 to be excact) Let me just throw the suspicion she may want a little more than free speech.
Second, it would not be unreasonable to think she had this all plan as a way to be famous herself. Perhaps having graduated from highschool (i.e. not being Kraut) She has a little more brains to scheme. And the being "red pilled" story... meh... either she was completely blind to the political sphere (idiotic) or she was doing it deliberately to craft an image.
Third, let's say she was an honest woman "who was at the wrong place, wrong time." (and now stands to gain money) still... she was pretty quick to release into the world the recordings. She didn't seek higher admin support, or contact people in her close sphere to fight.
Perhaps you could say, she "knew" about all of it being corrupt... but then why did she risk her career showing Jordan Peterson if she was "just a normal professor", when she knew she'd get heat for it? Just throwing thoughts in here.
And to repeat myself, I'm following my gut and not trusting anyone in this sphere, espcially if there is a huge monetary incentive for having their current political opinions.

Well just came across this and felt I might as well share it here.
