It seems to me that he has a significantly high level of narcissism, perhaps not full blown NPD, but pushing it.
Narcissistic people have difficulty with emotional regulation when criticized, and take the
slightest critique as malicious criticism. Their egos are incredibly fragile as opposed to the front of perfection that they attempt to project to the world. They lack the theory of mind to understand others, their needs, or feelings, it’s a very solipsistic worldview that the narcissist can not shake. They tend to rage often, they gaslight, manipulate, make every attempt to make you feel sorry for them or excessively admire them. They often seek professions with positions of power over more naive people, like teachers or doctors. They try to play up their achievements, they use big words, attempt to appear intellectual, all in an attempt to seem superior. They leave countless broken relationships in their wake, their partners often develop PTSD like symptoms (some have proposed Narcissistic Abuse Syndrome or Complex PTSD), their children are more likely to act out or loose all self esteem.
Jordie’s behavior lends more to NPD than to Aspergers. We all have a bit of narcissism, and that’s a healthy thing, but when it starts to destroy lives it’s a problem. Jordie probably felt on top of the world during his initial rise to fame, he had a slice of validation that probably seemed unending, but then people started to pick apart his perfect world. Instead of being the least bit introspective he instead drugged himself into needing a coma and conjured up the big bad internet troll boogeyman, because there’s no possible way he was wrong in any capacity.
Can you imagine being a narcissist and trying to return to a sense of normalcy after people rode your dick this hard?
I’m surprised he hasn’t killed himself yet.
