I'd love to see Peterson's eccentricity and mental instability tip him over the edge. Not in a morbid way, just in a 'no more Mr nice guy' way. I want to see him grow his hair down to his arse, start swearing like a trooper and do livestreams with David Duke while high on horse tranquiliser.

We've talked about this, but yeah, it's likely the brain damage. When he was put in a coma to avoid suffering the side effects of benzo withdrawal, he got pneumonia (and maybe COVID). The combination of hypoventilation from the coma and lack of O2 intake from pneumonia is a recipe for hypoxic brain damage. (That's why it's not SOP to use medically induced comas; just a last resort)

So yeah, likely he was never the same after we woke up. He should be fucking thanking god he's not using adult diapers (that we know of, lol, wouldn't surprise me one bit)

Was suspecting that something happened to him. He seemed a little more rational to me in the 2017 psychology lecture days when he was talking about IQ in his grey suit. However, he mostly parrots the same things that he did before the big events (e.g. reality is determined by values, "Darwinian, useful truth" is more important than scientific truth, etc). I don't think much changed, but I believe that there is more fog. He seems to wear his Judeo-Christian beliefs on his sleeve more than he used to given all the Daily Wire commercials i've been seeing

All in all, he's still very close to who he was before, but there are some cobwebs that haven't been cleared out

The emotional instability seems to be one of the main indicators to me that he's somewhat fried his brain. Giving him the benefit of the doubt, mabye the change is due to just being perpetually online or burnout, but him being less capable of regulating his emotions just screams to me that something else is causing it.

There could also be factors at play related to changes in audience perception, rather than changes in Peterstein per se. I have heard that cults tend to offer legitimately useful/empowering advice or self-help shit as an introduction, and only later do they roll out the more questionable material, like how the founder is purportedly God, and you need to send him all your money. If it were all trash, they'd never recruit anyone; it's more of a bait and switch.

In his earlier days, he seemed more focused on producing the bait content, which could at times be genuinely thought-provoking or useful (at least for midwits who like listening to charlatans). Unfortunately, he is not a terribly profound intellectual, so the amount of thought-provoking and useful content in his corpus ran dry, and when he no longer had anything else to say, he started repeating himself into self-parody, as evidenced by stuff like "CLEAN YOU ROOM, BUCKO" sorts of memes. While he sometimes keeps spouting the same old crap, it is no longer received the same way.

Over time, his real motivations seem to have been laid bare. He has more or less explicitly stated in interviews that he observes many young men drifting rightward, and so he aims to act as a gatekeeper, channeling his viewers back to what he calls his "Classical British Liberal" form of centrism--plus the obviously gratuitous philosemitism. It was one thing for viewers to enjoy his content several years ago, when he was perceived to be the self-help guy who was challenging pronoun laws, but now the mask has slipped, and his public persona has clearly become the Zionist gatekeeper guy, who mainly seems to whine about demonic, Machiavellian internet trolls. Does a target demographic even exist for that sort of content?
 
If you are a person who can be made to believe Jordan is some kind of enlightened intellectual you are someone who can be made to believe anything.

You gotta get him on some stimulants, first. Depressant junkies don't break down in cool ways like that, they just become more miserable and pathetic over time, until they shrivel up and die.

I quite like listening to him when he detaches from rationalism and goes into religious mode. He's great at interpreting myths and stories (or at least good at putting his own spin on them) and his ghost stories were nothing short of brilliant. I loved him in his debate with Dillahunty. He knew he couldn't win on scientific grounds so he just went 'watch this' and took the debate into outer space. Genius.

If Rogan was to ask him about Edgar Allen Poe stories and fortune tellers instead of trannies and twitter, you'd get one hell of a podcast out the man. I'm sure of it.

What's funny is he is a man who has gained popularity by speaking out against state censorship now demanding censorship from companies.

His idea that anyone who wants anonymity are "Troll demons" is so ridiculous, he stated himself that he's lucky to be able to state his opinions and still be standing, he lost ways of making income, he was attacked constantly by people with real names, and many of the people who backed him, did so annoymously, because if they didnt, they risked there working life.

Jordan knows this, he knows that activists in many countrys have to be annonymous to stand up for basic rights that he gets freely as a candian, or even just a person existing in first world contrys.

Anonymity isnt just important to those wishing harm, but can be just as necessary to do good in a modern society, and the fact that he's so agressive and demonizing of anonymity is frustrating, if he doesnt want to get trolled on twitter, then he should go on facebook.

Im also certain that during one of his tours, he stated that someone threw something at him, though my memory may serve incorrect, however he knows what he says, will bring violence to him, if said to the wrong person in the wrong place.

It's quite strange that for a man who cries so much, he likes to do a lot of alpha posturing. He looks at his opponent steely-eyed, his shoulders do not flinch and then he says "I'm nwoart doing it". If he could stay in Clint Eastwood mode all the time he'd be the coolest cat on the political scene.

I still feel like he's a minor trauma away from saying to hell with everything before taking up smoking and sending pictures of his dragon of chaos to Sam Harris' wife.

He needs to take a rest or be like Kevin Spacey in American Beauty.
