What have you done to try to get a better staff?
How did your family sabotage you?

Are you aware that real DVDs and Blu-Rays are pressed, not burned and you need an LTO tape of each layer sent to a mastering company?

That costs money, I like to able to pass off some savings to the customer. That's why it's all done here and not elsewhere.

I know that disks are put throw a press, that's not what I do I use another method. Back in 07 I was suppose to meet a York tech student at a McDonalds in my home town. They refused to let me meet with them. That's what I call sabotage.

Your parents refused to let you meet somebody at McDonalds and you accepted that? Arn't you a grown man?

You should get out on your own then. No family around to sabotage your dreams. Who needs them doing it when you shoot yourself in both feet just fine on your own?

A blank DVD in a spindle costs 39 cents. A low-production run of a pressed DVD costs between 20 and 24 cents. So by doing it yourself, you're actually cheating the customer up to 20 cents each time.
 
Everyone stop listening to the trolls, start listening to me. If you don't have I need to help pay for what I need I understand. Find those who do and maybe they will listen.
 
You know, you're not helping your case by sticking your head in the sand and then following it up with this "avoid big questions, declare 'NO U,' question marks, profit" deal. I don't think trying to squash any meaningful discourse is conducive to any listening you want to happen right about now.

Joe I never posted in this thread until recently. I have a soft spot in my heart for DIY artists and have bankrolled a couple dozen, I'd guess, in the last couple of years alone. But all of those people make do with what they have on hand or can easily and cheaply acquire. From what I'm reading you have the fear of god of computer viruses from fake malware programs that you bought in the past and want to waste money on an unnecessary computer upgrade when a perfectly fine computer is lying there.

This is not the kind of artist who accomplishes his or her goals.

I wanted a render farm once. I didn't go e-begging for it. I found all the Joe Crackers in the area who threw away perfectly good computers, cleaned them up and I had a 10 node farm in my closet at no cost. When I need something higher dollar I sometimes get help from family/friends, but I have to PROVE that I need it and will use it to its fullest potential. You haven't done this to my knowledge.

It's not fine anymore, it used to be. I can still make the movie because I got all the footage on it. The problem is if I want to shoot more then it's just gonna sit there on a DV Tape unusable. I have the camera, I have the software to edit the footage I just need help because if my planned kickstarter fails I'll be using the Mini for years to come. all I want to do is make some new DVD extras and all this from these trolls are just code to me saying and telling people they don't want that.

Until you realize early on that it's as much a piece of shit as we said it is. Then it's going to be "Buy me a Mac Pro NOW NOW NOW!"
Addressing the part I bolded: If that's what you take away from this, then maybe you should pack it in and quit.
