Jian Gomeshi's trial

Jian Gomeshi was a host of the government run Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) radio division, and was a bit popular.

Last year a exposé by the Toronto Star of his sexual deviancy towards several woman both in workplace harassment and being rather violent during sex lead to him being fired and charged with sexual assault.

His way of defending himself to his CBC bosses was apparently to show them violent BDSM and say that if the actors on the videos were consentual, then his stuff was consensual.

He is going to trial today, and its going to be interesting how this shakes out.

This is the guy that slammed a chick's head against a concrete wall and then claimed it was part of his "BDSM lifestyle", right?

Also he apparently had a comfort teddy bear who he turned against the wall every time he beat the shit out of a woman at his house, because he "shouldn't see" those things.



This should be fun.

The CBC got some pretty bad PR over it because Jian's superiors turned a blind eye to the harassment.
