I really dislike the color story of the palette. "Food Videos," "Trisha," "Cheese Dust," and "Flaming Hot" are basically eyeshadow colors that my nightmares are made of. I would never ever put those colors anywhere near my face. Honestly, if you just eliminate those colors from the palette, it automatically looks significantly better! Granted, it would look more like a neutral palette that so many "influencers" shit on now, but it would look prettier without those four obnoxious colors.
I tend to stray away from blue eyeshadows (because I grew up in a time when blue eyeshadow was automatically associated with Mimi from the Drew Carey Show), but the Blue Blood palette's color story is absolutely gorgeous. I don't own it, but a part of me definitely wants it because it looks so surprisingly pretty. The Shane Dawson palette? It honestly just looks like the Alien palette's uglier sister.
In the docuseries, they swatched an emerald green shade that was beautiful. Then someone from Jeffree's team was like "No, put it away and leave it out." Oy. You know, an emerald green eyeshadow being released right before Christmastime would have made sense ... Just saying! And it would have actually fit in with all of the other colors on that palette. Imagine the "Sleep Paralysis" shade with that emerald green color ... That would have been "sickening," as Jeffree would say.
The only thing from the collection that looks really cool to me is the clear gloss ... Because the black packaging on the tube looks REALLY pretty. I'm not going to fork over a lot of money for clear gloss, though, so ... This collection gets a no from me, dawg.
