Convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein is dead, law enforcement sources said Saturday.

A gurney carrying a man who looked like Epstein was wheeled out of the Manhattan Correctional Center around 7:30 a.m. The ambulance went to New York Downtown Hospital.

He was interviewed by the same network who covered Jimmy Saville's ass, since the revelations on this monster and how every institution from the BBC to the British crown protected him, I can't trust the BBC.
He said he had a pizza party, what a lame ass excuse. Day of the rope for the royals then?

That was a lot of pedo defending you did there to own "DA THOTS". How did you manage that?
God, that was a bad hot take.... You really should read the thread from the start. Perhaps the Finders thread also. Or any news article pertaining to the exact situation that went down in Florida. You can't have been friendzoned this bad to be this ignorant.

It wasn't me, twas the photoshop, chaps!
He honestly should have just said "I like them young, but not illegal, so what?", since he's so worried about being "honorable". What a pedophile.

He’s a lousy liar. Those excuses are almost as bad as Mundane Matt’s.

My Point: 'Muh Feels' diffuse the situation. Believe it or not, the horror isn't these two people being wronged.

-it's a system that ALLOWED and SUPPORTED a pedo, a pedo with money.
-it's a system that easily bent for some names and a little bit of dosh

Systemic abuse is far for damaging than the odd occurrence. The fact he had a racket that involved THOUSANDS of victims is the issue.
Focusing on 2, and then seasoning everything with tears makes the entire situation look cheap and petty.

It's really not about these 2.

That's not what your first comment said but I'll take this at face value...

Not many victims have come forward. They were in hiding at the time of the Florida conviction and were in fear enough that they didn't really want to testify. I do think they have some accountability, however, they were groomed and male or female, I have sympathy for that, it effects the course you chart in life.

From a journalistic standpoint, if you have two warm bodies you can show as the "face" to the abuse, you use them.
One or two faces are more powerful than none. The audience - who already doesn't care, let's be frank, it's been a barely luke-warm situation prior to this - need to see someone.

It was the same in Australia with the Catholic Church sex abuse case with Cardinal Pell. There was one man who honestly, drove the case. He was a victim as a child (and a teen) and his testimony and visibility put a real face to it.
Without him, I don't actually think the public would have pushed as hard for Pell to be put in jail. He was one of many victims, but honestly, because of him, the pain he carried and the ability of the public to relate to him, he elevated the issue beyond being just some "thing" that was talked about.
For example ; "5000 children have been sexually abused by ___" has no weight compared to "This living, breathing person right here suffered this, along with 5000 other children".
Same can be said of the Hey Dad! Actor case.
The REAL issue of course was the same - the systemic abuse of children, but when you're putting together a piece for camera, or even an article in the paper, you need a visual component. Maybe I just see this through journalist-eyes, but focusing on 2 really isn't an issue when it comes to media play.

I'll give you your assumption of 'audience needs a face to fight for'.
Yes - that's how good cinema is produced.
Personally, I find it insulting. Intelligent viewers don't cry over the fate of 2 girls, intelligent viewers cry over the loss of the judicial and legislative processes. I didn't like the portrayal.
Your example with the Catholic Church is excellent as well.

I'm not a movie maker or a journalist. I tend to abstract the variables and run them to conclusion, without faces or names. Feelings are distractions.

I want names released. I want to know:
-who was 'escorted' at the island parties
-who was 'escorted' at the mansion parties
-who bankrolled Epstein's (because of pedophilia)
-who was in Epstein's book
-who was on Epstein's tapes
and
-WTF is this about making babies? Where are these children? Should there be an international task force locating the children?

...and I want each and every one of those fuckers GRILLED until they squeal out additional names, faces, and payrolls. No one should be spared regardless of class or political party.

He’s a lousy liar. Those excuses are almost as bad as Mundane Matt’s.

We've gone from "we don't even have a basement" to "I couldn't even sweat because at that specific time I had an obscure disease I don't have anymore"

What will be the next in this playbook of denial? I didn't even have a corporeal body at the time?

who was in Epstein's book
Look for yourself

There are a shit load of phone numbers in Epstein's book under "Massage" in Paris. Was he operating a brothel there?

It's astonishing how much potential intel this document could produce, and yet popular attention can't be bothered with it at all. If only there were an army of autistic investigators that could be mobilized to follow all these leads
