A ton of information is being attributed to people "close to the investigation" and it's largely contradictory - the media might as well be making it up. Believing none of it seems the wisest course at this point, although a prison being chronically short-staffed is totally believable (and it's something no-one gives a shit about until something like this happens).

He didn't conduct the JFK autopsy. He was chair of a House Committee which evaluated the medical evidence from JFK and MLK assassinations during the 1970s.

Baden and Cyril Wecht have become the go-to pathologists for hire used by the families and estates of high profile people who've suffered suspicious deaths. It would be more unusual has a witness for hire not been engaged. Whatever narrative he spins will be taken as "truth".

fuck, we're gonna see years of people combing thru his finances and trying to sort out where his money came from, and why people paid him a bunch of money for seemingly nothing right around the time they took trips to his island. it's turning into a war of attrition really fucking quick.

people will get burned out looking for more info on the guy, and what connections could have been made will be left undiscovered because people will run out of time, effort, and/or motivation to continue digging thru pages upon pages of numbers.

these people truly make my stomach turn, it's worse knowing without a doubt that they're 100% real and that it goes much deeper than epstein. I think before Saturday a lot of people could push the idea in the back of their heads that the idea of a pedo conspiracy was too outlandish and could comfortably ignore it... but Epstein's suicide really kind of forced them (and myself too, if I'm being completely honest) to really face it. I think the human mind is really good at compartmentalizing to try and keep itself focused, but this is real and it's really happening to innocent children. Brutal wakeup call, but a necessary one.
