Nuking Japan twice was a mistake. It should've been subjected to Soviet mass rapes instead. Maybe shota/lolishit wouldn't be a thing, or even manga/anime.

I don't think you even need to live there in order to get out of the honeymoon phase, if you watch enough Japanese shit you eventually realize most of the "magic" of Japan is centered around being a teenager who grew up in Japan, and even then, it's obviously not the reality for most people who grew up there. The consensus from everyone that has actually been there, and is out of the honey moon phase, is that Japan is great to visit, but horrible to live, often bordering in nightmareish.
Unless you can work for an American company or you are rich already so you don’t need to work , then you might avoid most of the pain. But you still have to deal with the fact they are really hard to reach out, and they will never truly accept you. Even other Asians get discriminated.
What chances does a random white guy have?
God knows how many towns in Japan died thanks to the Bubble Economy bursting.
Not even that, being a teenager is hell unless you luck out in location, social status and sane parents that won't force you to go to cram school until late night. Japan being so atrocious place to live gave way to their media being extremely escapist which what attracted the global market to it.I don't think you even need to live there in order to get out of the honeymoon phase, if you watch enough Japanese shit you eventually realize most of the "magic" of Japan is centered around being a teenager who grew up in Japan, and even then, it's obviously not the reality for most people who grew up there.
None of the things people are interested in were made for late 20's-30's white guys to dedicate their lives to.
SK actually adopted the same sort of hybridized Western/Chinese model of Urbanism that HK and Singapore adopted, and leaned more towards China and Singapore than HK in terms of regulation. So their houses are actually livable.South Korea is even worse
arianna grande was loli'd out in her 20s.They dont sell loli porn in corner stores in the US.
Oof, I was going to argue, but after thinking about it for a sec, you're totally right lmfao. Not even that, being a teenager is hell unless you luck out in location, social status and sane parents that won't force you to go to cram school until late night. Except now it's so bad that the main genre for the last decade+ is isekai which is literally "I want to die and be reborn in an European high trust society as the gigachad", unlike previous works that were at least set in Japan.
Also some of the best anime like NGE, Devilman, and Patlabor is explicitly set in a fictionalized Neo-Fascist version of Japan that exists to form a thin-veil of critique of the domestic sociopolitical climate basically being Corporate Feudalism where everyone's escaping reality by gooning and romanticizing teenage life. This trope is basically what Naoki Urasawa's entire body of work is centered around and he's widely considered one of the best manga artists.Except now it's so bad that the main genre for the last decade+ is isekai which is literally "I want to die and be reborn in an European high trust society as the gigachad", unlike previous works that were at least set in Japan.
Also, a lot of the RW'ers in Japan are just fully psyopped into believing really dumb positions about race, foreigners, and globalism. parties like sanseito are basically super autistic about certain things, like reinstating the emperor or hard-banning fag marriage or doing some autistic alteration to some system that benefits the "yamato race" but they all have this concept of "we just need to bite the bullet and accept cheap labor bro"Sure a lot of them may be right leaning politically, but they aren't into staying at home and always cooking-their right wing politics is nationalism and nothing more
I'm not going to pretend that America doesn't have it's own issues, but Japan has a lot of issues more specific to Japan, like for example, the corporate slavery in Japan is way worse than it is in places like Europe or America. The hatred of Japan is always a cope from people to pretend their home nation isn't suffering from horrendous issues. I guarantee that almost every problem OP is pretending to be scandalized by is as bad, or worse, in their nation. The difference is, they ignore how bad their home is, and instead hyperfocus on a nation on the other side of the planet like a retard so they can cope about their failed state. A great example is the bitching about female only train cars, when I bet your home nation's rape rate is ten times that of Japan, except your nation doesn't care enough to protect women by isolating them from your nation full of rapists.
I'd say it's more just Japan being overly successful in their PR campaign to portray themselves as a utopian futuristic society and then westerners seeing that they're still basically on-par with other asian countries in terms of what's socially acceptable in the realms of sexual and moral behavior, race-relations, and aversion to change. The hatred of Japan is always a cope from people to pretend their home nation isn't suffering from horrendous issues.
A legit complaint about them is that they're a hangover from a prior generation's mass hysteria—and cause of its continuance. The phone camera noise thing, too.A great example is the bitching about female only train cars,
same with the lack of public trash cans. all from a terrorist attack almost three decades ago that didn't even involve any trash cans lol.A legit complaint about them is that they're a hangover from a prior generation's mass hysteria—and cause of its continuance. The phone camera noise thing, too.
the "magic" of Japan is centered around being a teenager who grew up in Japan
Yep. There's isekai, with that recurrent theme of getting away from the modern world, especially Japan. Not good sign for life in 日本."I want to die and be reborn in an European high trust society as the gigachad"
There's also the high school entrance exams, and it's rather conformist. Sticking out or being a lone wolf may not be that cool there.being a teenager is hell
If it is the "country of autism", is only due to who it attracts, not who lives there. It caters to autists because capitalism, anime, the way they attract tourists with their fancy architecture, videogames, "colourful and cute" themes, it's like the east version of Disneyland, etc.I unironically think Japan is autism: the country.
Wait. I don’t mean it in a meme, “Haha lol autism “ way. I am 100% serious. Japan is a country that genuinely seems to be catered to autism, and I wouldn’t be surprised if they were the majority. It’s a country that genuinely punishes neurotypical , aka, normal behavior.
Salary men and Exploitative work culture? This seems to exploit Autism’s love for routine.
A culture that discourages people interacting with strangers
A culture that promotes isolation. Austist are notoriously bad at social skills.
Way too many hobbies and places for people to isolate themselves
Discourages noisy people the same way autistic people hate noise.
Discourages standing out. Again guess who hates any kind of novelty.
It’s a culture that hates change of any kind. Guess who else hates change of any kind?: Autists
A lot of the weirdness, people isolating themselves and hoarding can easily be explained by people having special interests.
To be fair, I do think they do have plenty of normal people. But the whole country legit seems to cater to autistic traits over everyone else.
It did before it got oneshotted by hyper-consumerism and status-chasing. Now it's just hierarchy and rules(perversion of tradition imo). Respect and TRVE TRADITION went out the window sometime during the 90s, probably in-tandem with their system of multigenerational living falling apart due to jobs consolidating in their cities. Now they're super atomized and not exactly prioritizing respect in the context of interpersonal relationships, especially with strangers and society at-large.Their culture puts heavy emphasis on hierarchy, respect and tradition from what I've seen
It's crazy how common it is in Asia, those corpos make the American equivalent look saintly in comparison, and at least from the media I watched, it seems that opinion about those soured greatly, especially now that they are probably worse to the economy due to regular monopoly behaviour.Corporate Feudalism
Nope, lots of things in Japanese culture are built so people won't communicate:Their culture puts heavy emphasis on hierarchy, respect and tradition from what I've seen, which is different from what you attempt to categorize as signs of autism with your examples. The exploitative culture in regards to jobs has nothing to do with autists liking a routine, their culture doesn't discourage talking to others, but we can agree that they're more reserved in general. In fact, the cliché example are the host clubs they have there where they specifically work to provide company to others, which some may pay for, but certainly not due autism (if it was autism and extreme isolation, they would not bother with host clubs). The rest is basically due to their standards of respect and authority (like what you say about noises and standing out), completely different.
