Call me realistic or jaded as hell, but I've been bombarded by japan vlogs as of late, often by mute unemployed chicks who spend all day reading, or those "I put up a camera in a train for 2 hours" slop channels. The comments are always primarily American and they always do the whole "I actually like the countryside, I'm not like everyone else" as you pan back up to the video and see a decrepit, run-down, empty town with no jobs or working infrastructure. It's almost satirical.

Weebs are probably literally the worst type of tourist to attract to boot.

Not much different from the older generations in Europe absolutely stanning the shit out of Austria, Switzerland, Germany, Italy etc. See a fat fuck show up in Rome "ah yes mmm, cheese and leather". Venice is only kept afloat by tourism like a necessary evil but you ain't seeing Italians leaning into that the way japs do. Then again japs fetishize white people, ride they dick and kick them out. You could be fluent and having lived in Japan 9 years and you'll still never be considered a local.

Jesus, I randomly pulled up a irl stream from japan and they're talking about all those JET programs and shit. You wanna move to japan? Get a fucking degree, be employable. Shit, work IT remotely. But you shouldn't be comparing japan to india(abject anarchic shithole) or USA(anarcho-tyranny raping all public services with junkies and niggers) you should compare it to other highly-developed asian countries like HK, Singapore, Korea, and Taiwan. Also they used to be in Roppongi(some still are) but Roppongi got re-developed into a really nice area with lots of ultra-luxury hotels and malls, so they chased all the lingering low-level street thug niggers out to Harajuku and Shinjuku. Shinjuku was always a shithole full of drunkenness and prostitution so people there tolerate a lot of bullshit, plus the nogs are only scamming foreigners for the most part, so the cops and locals don't really care.

The perception that Japan is uniquely sexually deviant is kinda off. They're a pretty socially conservative and reserved country. Anime stuff is a niche over there just like it is in western countries. They have a pornography industry, but also laws that literally censor all genitalia in all media. They have historically been pretty open about sex in their culture (penis statues, giant penis whale paintings), but thats hardly enough to say they're just a bunch of sex gremlins.

Even with this in mind, they have extremely low rates of abuse and sex crime in general. You could say that some of this is because of that socially conservative culture that makes coming out about this hard, but at that point why trust any statistics? The women-only trains and mandatory shutter camera sounds on phones laws are used as evidence of rampant sexual abuse, but thats kinda just extrapolating and punishing the culture for taking an active measure to reduce harassment. You could come to the exact opposite conclusion and use these laws to say that Japan is actually a culture that especially hates sexual degeneracy like taking pictures of women and sexual harassment on the train.

One thing I have noticed in conservative circles (Tucker Carlson, Sneako, Tate, etc) is this strange hatred of Japan and worship of Middle-Eastern cultures that suppress all sexuality. As though the ME were not a shithole where women face astronomical amounts of sexual abuse. Its almost as though this mindset were based on the "ick" factor of Japan's sexually deviant subcultures and cosmopolitanism. Alot of this hatred also seems to come from African Americans and Latinos who have insanely high sex crime rates in their communities and countries.

The only people that mindlessly glaze Japan have never been there for long.

Most of the western people living in Japan seem to have a problem with social isolation because Japanese culture pushes people to only really form genuine relationships with the people they grew up with. Most East Asian cultures have this mindset. Other than that, it seems like a country with nearly the exact same problems as any western country. Its kinda like Canada or the UK. Developed, but broker than America. High cost of living and jobs demanding lots of hours. High rates of depression and suicide. Less fent zombies, cheaper housing, and good public transit. However, also an astronomical debt crisis, and lots of migrants coming in that randomly commit crimes for no reason. Rapidly growing cities, but a depopulating and miserable countryside.

Pretty much every developed country in Asia is as safe as Japan is, without a lot of the baggage. Absolutely raped take. Western countries with smaller, whiter, and richer populations are also pretty safe. Norway, Switzerland, and Singapore are all safer than Japan.
