Do what you want to do. Trannies don't get the privilege to gatekeep stuff just because they are annoying and suck each other off on social media. In fact not being liked by troons is a positive bonus as far as reputation goes.

This sort of "emo/goth" style is definitely a coin toss between 30 YO foid stuck in the 2000s, or tranny. Either way, this style never screamed "most mentally sound individual" to me imo (still a better style to look at compared to most tho).

fwiw I think you should just create stuff in whatever style lets you truly express whatever skill you have; I work better with lines and flat colour blocks than I've ever done with fully rendered paintings and blending, for example. Don't let yourself get caught up in the opinions of other people, it's a complete waste of time. I'm speaking from experience here.

To look at it another way; if troons were to, for whatever reason, adopt styles or stylistic elements from things like Byzantine, Greek, Serbian or Romanian iconography, I wouldn't just declare those styles as 'dead' or 'corrupted' and let them rot away, nor would I expect anyone else to. That would be peak retardation stemming from irredeemable levels of irony poisoning. Sometimes you have to actually stand and defend the things you care about from the encroaching hordes instead of running away.
 
I'd say my experiment of imbuing soul into that one soulless tranny artstyle from that one meme for the sake of new avi material was a total success! Conveniently this also continues the current running joke scheme of my recent avatars simultaneously.

Gifs seem kinda glitched and artifact-y in the thumbnail format but the point gets across I think.

Usually I feel mildly shit about my art output even if it's detailed but as rough and slap dash as this is This seems to be a decent approximation and improvement of the style shown in that image.
I'm less an "art fixer" type more a "I see something in something shit or have some inside joke and get inspired to make something" type of art person. Technically this image has 3 inside jokes built into it with 2 of them tied to earlier pfp stuff but only the one factor's important for this thread.

It does however remind me of some excellent artstyles from the 2000s.

This is a generic case that Gamestop used to use for used games that got returned with a missing/damaged case. Call it ugly, call it weird. I always liked it. Reminds me a little of boondocks with the very geometric heads and features.
Age of War 2 (the old ass flash game) also has a style that exudes personality. I have gathered that I am a sucker for geometric/vaguely western anime/2000s artstyles. Timesplitters 2's boxart is also excellent.

It's also rather insidious that it equates simplicity with childishness and then uses that to try to convince you that this has something to do with pedophilia. Simple expressions? Pedo. These are fucking great, they remind me of like the transitory phase between comics and webcomics, that weird combination between newspaper strips and anime with some bit of children's picture books in there. I hate fairyland is a good example of this, I would really like to know if there's more of this kind of artstyle.

In general, the time when everyone in the west was inspired by anime in the mid-late 2000s had some pretty dope artstyles.

the emo artstyle is either troons, minors larping as 30 year olds or 30 year olds larping as minors

That's because the nutshack was done partly by a well known artist from that time period. It was one of those weird cases where genuine talent came together on a shoestring budget and made a really nasty looking flash cartoon that aired on TV somehow. If the network gave them a little more budget to get frame by frame guys on it, it might've actually looked kind of decent.

You can kinda see they literally just traced the concept art/storyboards for the animation going by the deleted scenes. the original pencil sketches look infinitely better.

EDIT FOR FURTHER CONTEXT:
Look up "Jesse hernandez" or "UrbanAztec". He's actually still making stuff it seems, I remember back in 2017 when the nutshack memes were still slightly happening he found and uploaded the full theme song (made by NUMP, a guy he knew?/still knows?) to youtube. Seriously, the guy's artsyle is almost immediately recognizable. I've seen shit where I'm like "shit is that him?" and then I look at the credits and yeah he was involved usually.
I just kinda wish he uploaded a little more to his youtube. Last few uploads were timelapse murals and the uncut HD nutshack theme back in 2017.

Anyways, hitsuji isn't from Hawaii in the way we locals consider it. Their mother is, however. Hitsuji was raised in California and the Pacific Northwest if memory serves.

Their Hawaii-side family is large, and filled with stand-up bros, hence the fairly respectful tone I'm taking. It's the way things are here.
