During his two years at Michigan, Sherrone Moore accomplished the following:
At the end of the 2025 season he got fired for having inappropriate relations with a staff member. The guy who replaced him was a highly respected coach who dragged Utah to double digit win seasons on a consistent basis for almost 20 years so everyone was expecting Michigan to be as good or even better than the Sherrone Moore teams. However, this season has already gone off the rails for the following reasons:
With every passing week, there's more evidence that Michigan should have stuck with Moore and therefore, they are built for BBC.
- First black head coach of the University of Michigan football team
- Highest winning percentage against Ohio State of all coaches this century (I'm including 2023 because he filled in for Harbaugh at the time)
- First head coach since 1948 to beat lowly Michigan State his first year
- First coach to EVER beat Alabama twice in the same calendar year
- Needed refball to beat Western Michigan
- lost to Iowa at home
- lost to Minnesota in Minneapolis for the first time since 1977
- highly recruited QB Bryce Underwood has not panned out
