Pineapple works with certain things like ham or pepperoni, but if you pair it with mushroom and spinach it’s going to be a mess. It’s too acidic.
Try putting pineapple in chicken salad and see what happens after 12 hours in a refrigerator. It breaks down the chicken.
Pineapple is delicious, but has its place.
