So far, this is the only online community that I frequently visit and enjoy. All of the websites that I have visited in the past have now gone to complete shit or are just not the same. What do I mean by that? Well...
Reddit: No comment.
Youtube: Was never really a social site but really got bad in 2015 when Susan Poland started prioritizing video time over likes and views. Endless filler that only got worse.
4chan: Was always a dumpster fire, that's what made it appealing, but has been unusable for years now. Let me give you an example by looking at some of the boards I used to like:
We can get into some of the factors that caused this (/pol/ and /gif/, being known for trolling, mainstream media attention) but it no longer matters. After I was done with 4chan, I participated in rDrama in 2021-22. What a time! I still remember the hacking of scored.co and the cat pixels, joke subreddits, games, and various country club troll-ops. At times it felt like that site controlled certain parts of the Internet. I ended up making emotes that were used thousands of times, and accidentally caused spergs to stalk and make a fool of a lolcow, to the point where I saw screenshots of her Reddit account bleed over into different websites. I even lagged out the site and caused members of my own community to seethe as well. Eventually, all good things must come to an end. Reddit admins imposed stricter rules and the trolling ended. This caused prolific oldfags to drop the site in favor of mentally ill teenagers (WatchPeopleDie). Aevann added so much shit to the site thta basic site functions became cumbersome.
As of right now, I'm a man without a country. Drifting from place to place until I can find some place to settle for a few years. In a way, I already settled for the Kiwi Farms. I don't even care about obsessing over obscure internet retards, as I heard about the Farms way back in 2019 when the shooting happened and only joined 4 years later when the situation got bad enough. Will I keep searching for a permanent homeland? Probably not, as websites only have a few years before they turn to garbage. It's all a pointless endeavor.
Are there any other sites that are similar to this one? Scored.co is serious all the time, reposts 10-year-old facebook memes, and some of it is geniunely schizophrenic. Xitter is lame because I want to write more than 280 characters. The 'sharty is beating a dead horse and i'm not a pedophile so I don't go there, or to any other altchans for that matter.

/wsg/: Before tiktok was a thing I used to see videos here that were not anywhere else. There were a lot of anons who knew how to use FFmpeg (read: had a pulse) and made a lot of videos that were genuinely amusing and made threads on a variety of esoteric topics. Mechanical calculators, trees being struck by lightning and catching fire, Soviet electronics, you name it. After tiktok, the entire board was gradually infected and then completely overtaken by retards reposting the same 50 unfunny short clips that are multiple years old. New content seldom gets posted, if at all.
/wg/: What was once a board for tasteful wallpapers that could not be found on the first page of Google Images is now laden with thirstposting and blatant pornography. I remember when it seemed you could browse /wg/ in front of your grandma and nothing would happen. Aside from that, the novelty and quality of SFW papes has plummeted.
/qa/: Last enjoyable board I can remember. It seemed to have thoughtful, serious discussion that lasted more than a few sentences with the occasional memes and trolling here and there. Shame soyfags had to ruin that. Twice.
/adv/: Serious degradation of conversation. I don't know if this one is actually true, but I remember the questions and "advice" being slightly less stupid, with some posters genuinely giving answers they thought to be worthwhile.
/r9k/: Went to shit as soon as it became a self-proclaimed incel board.
/b/: I can only look at the catalog for about 5 minutes before I have to close out. Do you what made that happen? cp. in 2021. fucking FOUR YEARS AGO one of the largest forums in the world was openly disributing illegal content. /b/ was never good but it became outright horrifying.
