It's actually kind of silly how much more authoritative something looks with an academically formatted citation, even if it's plainly not.

Did you just decide to cite a Q&A post in MLA format WITHOUT a hanging indent? If you aren't careful, Q&A might lose its painstakingly cultivated reputation as a Kiwi Farms center of intellectualism and renown.

I will have you know that is the IEEE journal format, we only use superior citation styles around these parts.
