Recently my city banned cooking appliances due to climate change and is recently planning to nuke the sun. But is it possible to cook a steak with just the sun itself. (Tinfoil and Mirrors are also banned so no sun lasers).

Don't forget to use a magnifying glass as well.Yeah but you have to get really close for it to be effective.
Try standing on a ladder (outside of course) and holding the steak up to the sun as high as you can.
Sand is all the seasoning I need
- Wrap the steak in leaves of the Papaya tree
- Bury in the desert under the midday sun
- Wait 6 hours (Medium-Rare) or 9 hours (Well Done)
- Season to taste
Those things are shockingly effective, as are these giant lensesHere is a ridiculous contraption that could probably sear a steak in the right conditions.

There's also leaving it in the car in a desert state like Arizona or Nevada. In Death Valley you can probably just leave it in direct sunlight if it's thin enough.
If taking the question literally then that technically wouldn't be cooking using "only" the sun though. There's also leaving it in the car in a desert state like Arizona or Nevada.
