I personally agree with your belief in an objective reality that exists beyond the self, as most sane people do, but since all we have to depend on are our subjective interpretations of things we perceive with our flawed and variable senses, it's impossible to be completely objective. I believe the tree and sofa objectively exist and will continue to exist without me, but I only believe that because of reports from my subjective senses and corroborating those reports with the subjective senses of others. So, I'm 99.9% barred sure that the tree and sofa exist, but it's irrational to be 100% sure of anything.
