Kinda depends on what your goals are. Learning a language is a huge comittment but it opens you up to all kinds of different opportunities. So without you telling us a little bit, it's hard to say. As an American it's probably better to learn Spanish. As an European French can be interesting if you are somewhat close to one of the countries that speak it.

Do you want to
-speak to French speaking people
-read French literature outside whatever gets popular enough to get a translation
-participate in French conversations online
-possibly work and/or live in a French speaking country
-want an occupation where speaking French will be useful or required

Then sure go ahead, but that also goes for any language. Learning a language is just a monumental feat that takes a long ass time.

It doesn't have to be if you do just a little bit regularly. There are great language learning methods that can make learning a language a walk in the park. I highly recommend Learn a language in 7 days, by Ramón Campayo.

Definitely not unless you plan on moving to France, which I would advice against. If you ask average Frenchman this question most would say no for being overly complicated and sometimes backwards logic language.
