I've unironically had sleep paralysis a few times.
It's shit. It's hard to breathe. It's easy to go into panic mode. It takes every bit of will you have to move a single muscle. But once you do move that muscle it goes away apart from lingering effects from the panic.
My suggestion, if it does happen, is to try to curl your toes. It's difficult but easier than trying to move anything else and once you do it you'll shoot right out of bed and maybe fall on the floor (happened to me once).
