That is the very definition of socialization (in the sociological context), which is the most common and continuous form. It is the most basic form of learning that most every human being who isn't in continuous social isolation experiences every day.

Perhaps Chris lacks a developed theory of mind, one of the most basic traits of any socially capable human being, but that doesn't mean he isn't learning. Trial and error may be the only way for Chris to even be socialized, recieving sanctions for unwanted behavior and possitive attention for wanted behavior.

Neurotypical people also learn by trial and error, but they can generalize rules based on specific events.

So a normal person might learn "don't overshare" or "don't attack people," but Chris would learn something more specific, like "don't talk about Pokemon for an hour straight" or "don't spray mace on people."

Yes, that is what I meant by the "he doesn't know the whys and hows" part of my statement. Chris still cannot predict or infer the reaction to an action on his part. I like the idea about him lacking a "theory of mind". It puts it into pretty good terms.

For many, Chris is the lolcow, the one who started it all. Indeed, this place was the former "CWCki Forums" and the only reason we existed.

But save for a few incidents, is Chris (very) slowly becoming more and more..."normal"? I mean, yeah, he's gone full tranny and maced a dude, but he's had the following crucial milestones and all this decade:
  • Had sex. Granted, he had to buy a hooker, but even that's a big step for him as it requires trace amounts of street smarts.
  • Sneaks out behind Barb's back to go to the gay club. He's meeting people, making friends.
  • He's happy with himself. If you read the Autism Papers, he was on an antidepressant ten years ago, so he certainly had his share of depression.
  • He's not engaging the trolls.
  • It's getting pretty damn hard in general to find something truly goofy he does. For a while, we've just had the occasional Facebook post where he complains about something trivial, and quite frankly, that's what a lot of people do with Facebook now. I laughed more at the Facebook of the redneck bail bondsman who raided the Sheriff's house in Arizona than I did at Chris's.
I'm inclined to think that letting himself become a giant weirdo and meeting other people who are tolerant of that has made a big difference in his life, although you'll still see that genuine autism come out in the form of Sonic's blue arms. What do you think?

There are some moments of improvement

But Chris will always find a way to destroy that thought

To his house fire to the blue arms scenario

As mentioned in the past; no one has been a bigger troll to Chris than Chris himself

    CWC is not getting better

The roller coaster that Chris's life has become has shown him to do certain things that can change the way that people can be willing to respect him. For him being able to socialise is a good sign of his improvement towards his "lovequest" yet watching him do certain things that lead to bigger issues and believe that he is some kind of dictator and to be shown to want to be heard out when stuff happens. Like when he blamed the firemen that saved him for stealing his stuff and then hypocritically recording a fire some time later of someone trying to put out a fire. I'm not saying that he have to be all A-log about it; just Chris refuses to grow up and use the time of life he has left to accomplish the world that he Dosent know exists. He may have some kind of small improvent but for some times m, he just needs to start pulling his head out of his arse and try to think as a normal intelligent person in what happens and to know that what he inputs and shares to the world can and will be used against him.

Sega does know about him but how much do they know about his death threats to them for the blue arms?

Chris is getting better. He was able to successfully handle a troll through means of sheer intimidation. That guy folded over like a bitch. Chris was gracious enough to not gloat about accepting Jeff's apology. I think we have to consider that a YES Chris is improving sign.

Yeah, i truly think he had found happiness in his way and its really hard to laugh at someone who its already happy about himself.

He won't be happy when he realizes that $120,000 isn't coming. How much non-refundable shit do you think he's already ordered while anticipating it?

I wouldn't say so
He's just adapted. Chris wising up on Facebook and with trolls isn't because a realization zapped to the extreme and into his brain. Like someone in another thread said, it's like putting a shock collar on a dog. The dog stops barking, but doesn't know why, only the consequences.

His having sex and getting some semblance of a social life isn't a matter of maturation, it was adaption. He wanted sex bad enough, pay for it. He wants to be among people with a (possibly to0) high tolerance for annoying "eccentricity", get in with the Queer community and as a bonus- entertain his supposed transwoman-self.

Personality is pretty solid through the lifespan, barring some serious life altering event.
Getting arrest and spending time in jail didn't do it (although to be fair, it anything it would just alter some behaviors and not personality itself)/
Bob's death didn't do it.
Coming out to himself as a woman didn't do it (and the jury is still out to many, if not everyone if this is even true).
Point is, there's very little to suggest he's matured or gotten better. Even his so-called entrepreneurial successes is based off his Lolcow "celebrity" and people who find him funny enough to buy his products. Without us, he wouldn't even have his money making venture.
I think his mannerisms, life philosophy, and is potentially still poison to anyone who dares get close to him.
He may make small improvements, but I wouldn't consider it an overall improvement.

He truly is SOLID Chris.

I wouldn't say so
He's just adapted.

I think that's the best he can hope for, Chris is far to gone to be salvaged at this point, as you said in the latest videos you can see the old Chris is bubbling away under the surface all the time, he's just found a new group of people who are more tolerant that he can act like less of a ignorant arse around and find some measure of acceptance with. But all's it takes is a little prodding and the turd will rise to the top.

The best he's ever going to get is to learn to keep some views and attitudes under wraps at all times, because they are now to far engrained in his rather odd psychological makeup for them to ever really change in any meaningful non superficial way. Some people say the least of his problems is Autism and I'd agree with that he has a whole host of other issues preventing any real growth that where never diagnosed let alone got assistance for, this makes his ability to really change beyond his predefined opinions (no mater how ill informed or idiotic they are) hard if not impossible.
